2006 SS/SC vs 199? Plum Purple Winged out BMW Cavalier...
Yep, you read it correctly. A BMW Cavalier, well at least that was the badging he had on the car. Yes, there was a huge park bench wing, mismatched rims and old plum purple paint.. This happened Friday on the way home from work. I was refraining from posting this but thought what the hell.
I will paint an all to familiar picture for us SC drivers.
Your waiting at the light listening to your favorite cd, while transfixed on the boost gauge. Then you take off and get through a couple gears just to hear hear the supercharger wind up... perhaps your even humming along...
Then you hear it, at first it sounds like a bumble bee then it tranforms into one of ol' gramps post chilli farts. Someone is tracking you in a ricebeater....
Ok the picture has been painted enough for me... So I slow down to let him by, I have no intentions on racing this muppet in Friday rush hour traffic, I just want to get home, gas up, wash up, and wait till its really dark out
So he slows down, I try so hard to ignore him but there he is , hat sideways, crooked improper muffler farting away and he gives me the "Ricer Shun" and nails it. He doesnt realize, since he was staring at me, not the road, that the light just went yellow..... So at the last moment he realizes hes about to fly a red and SLAMS The brakes on. Wow those BMW Cavaliers dont stop as good as my buddies 540...
I pull up behind him and he starts reving the beast within the BMW Cavalier. Sounds bone stock except I/H/E. The light turns green and not to my surpirse, he dumps clutch at about 3000 and covers my car in exhaust and oil smoke. Then I see a nice size stone fly by the side of my car.. Now I was mad... but cool heads always prevail, I let him get about 70ft in front of me before reeling him in like the guppie he is. I never got more than a couple km/hr over the speed limit.
Seeing me do this you would think he would realize that he may be out gunned. But nope, the BMW Cavalier must never lose.... While I proceed to back off he slows down with me, gets along side and gives me the nod to race, and I am all laughing and stuff by this time. He gives me the "your chicken face" and nails his car hard, but it barley takes off. I let him go, its not the time nor the place for this malarky and even if it was I am not going to race this , its embarassing.
Well much to my chagrin, minutes later up the road I see him getting paced by Ol' Bill. Ol Bill must have a fondness in his heart for BMW Cavaliers so they lite him up and pull him over. I purposly came back around to slow down and give him the "Chicken Face" right back and a small chirp from the tires....
Hilarious. Cool heads always prevail.

I saw him again on the way home from work today !!!
Nothing happened this time, I was wondering what he was going to do when he saw me, but he just farted off into the sunset of rice.
