If it's just an SER and not a Spec-V i'd take the 2.4. I had to drive an auto SE-R one night and it felt almost as slow as an auto Civic.
Is the auto 2.4 a 4 or 5 speed auto?

Since he's auto it will be alot closer. The 6-speeds have some close ratios down low that get them outa the hole in a hurry. just for comparison i raced a 6 speed v-spec w/ I/E i had I/E/T and i bogged on my start lost 2 lengths and i pulled 1-2 cars by the end of the 1/8th.

equal throttle but at certain rpms the power quicks in by itself
