Well fellas......I live in Louisiana and it rain yesterday so we did not race. It has been raining alot lately but the temp was awesome to race in. It was 71 degrees yesterday and I think if I beat him in the launch, I would have beat him. The car is heavier than mine and he have 22in rims on his car. (Not to say that would make a huge difference). I was not going to let him walk me down

i do believe i have more than a right to explain what is going to happen when a stock ss/tc picks on a modded ls4 car. i have driven and/or owned both.

saying someone will beat or lose to someone without personal experience is grounds for failure.
wow thats pretty good im shocked. and i still wish i had the sound of the v8. its beautiful

Hp tuner does support it and from what ive heard, with a semi agressive tune, you can run mid 12s with some minor bolt ons.

i have several maps i have put together for some ls4 owners. yes hpt does support it. the trans is a bitch to get right, and will fail eventually. to be honest. i was one fo the first to get a "tune" via mail order from a company in canada, and well. it was lack luster. part throttle rocked. wot was less than desired. i also sprayed a 120 shot on 28 degree's of timing and never had one motor problem out of it ever.

mine had a k&n intake. hogan 3 inch catless dp. magnaflow mufflers, harlon sharp 1.8 rockers. not a bad running car, it just wasn't me. i will say the monsoon system in the gxp variant is a wicked speaker system when it isn't held back by the stock radio. it rivaled a lot of usac finals SQ cars i built years back in terms of quality and staging. thats about all i miss from that car, and the brakes were awesome.

ok im done talking up the gxp now
carry on

weighs 3700 lbs, is front wheel drive and has 300hp. It runs high 13's at the very best. It should be fairly close. Make sure you get him on the launch and he wont be able to gain ground.

The LS4 is not that fast stock.......Ive seen him run my brother's stock GTO and got murdered 3 car lengths having some mods on his Impala. Im not trying to say I have the fastest car in the world because people must understand HP does make a huge difference. I feel like if I get a good launch I can have a better chance of beating him. If he spray out the gate, I can probably kiss my ass good bye. The only thing I can bank on if I hook and he dont. Also, I think the weight diff will become a factor, but he has the torque to accomodate that I guess??? I just no it will be a damn good race, but if his car was stock.....I would kick his ass

the best of the LS4 cars would be the Grand Prix because of the staggered tire size ( 255 up front, 225 in back) my monte has 235 all around and from a launch, if you dont roll the throttle to the floor, and you punch it, you dont stand a chance, you will burn the tires thru the 60'. with drag radials, no wheel spin and adds .4 to your run.

i also have driven a new GXP with the 5.3 motor and i thought it was pretty damn solid. probably would have taken my old 93 formula with a few bolt ons.....

You lose. Try a LS1 F-bod 6-speed that you can get for under 20K, can get over 22 mpg with regular drving and run low 13's stock. I won't even talk about what you can do with 2 grand in mods. Haha.

you obviously have never heard of a corvette.

c5's run HIGH 12's- low 13's stock and get damn good highway gas mileage. and dont even ask which will be faster with 2 grand put in them
