i would compare 2 different things when you guys race; ET, and who takes the win light...
i've had many, many races where i beat the guy off the line but took the stripe before he passed me but he had the lower ET. does that mean i was faster, nope, does that mean i won, yep.

Here in PHX (where heat kills, and elevation is 1100ft) I ran a 13.9 bone stock with a 2.25 60'. With the GMS1 and intake I ran a 13.77 but that was with a 2.4ish 60'. I maintain it will be a drivers race. I don't know much about the genesis besides I killed one on the highway once, but the 3.8 should hang with the 'Balt, especially because it has wider rear tires and should launch much better.
I predict a 13.72 at 104 for the 'balt and 13.99 at 99 for the genesis. C'mon, this is a cobalt forum, did you really expect me to give the edge to the Hyundai?

DA will really only greatly effect the Genesis. ss/tc has the advantage of still compressing the air. thats why n/a cars slow waaaay down the higher up they go compared to a f/i car at the same altitude.
for example. lets say f/i car and n/a car run exactly 14.00 at sea level. go up to 6k feet and the n/a will be mid 16s, f/i car will more than likely still be in the 15s. another example to explain that, lets say both cars are taking in, for ***** and giggles, the same amount of air at sea level. well up in 6k feet. the n/a car can only take in the air available around it. the f/i car can still compress air and therefore get more gal/cyl producing more power.

elevation kills NA cars like heat kills boosted cars.
enough...
BTW...it's a 575whp capable turbo...people have broke into the 10's on AGP 3147's and 50 trims lol, this is A LOT bigger (3147 is a sub 50 lb/min turbo my Zeta is a 58 lb/min).
The zeta 3.2 and nitrous went 9.8. I guess its possible for a 10.3-4.

I will preface my comments by saying I was wrong. I wholeheartedly thought the Genesis was going to win ET. however it was not meant to be. The Cobalt was not affected by the DA where as the Genesis suffered bad. The Genesis ran a best of 13.92 @ 100.72. Here is the kicker, the DA was 3189ft on that run. Yes 3189ft. It was hot as hell and 75%+ humidity. Everyone will see this time and dismiss it as "Thats just what those cars run" but its an N/A car at 3200ft so lets be realistic. The Cobalt ran here stock at 500ft and bested a 14.05 @ 101. Tonight with gms1 he ran 13.658 @ 105.3. The two cars lined up once and the Cobalt won by .168. Videos and slips to come later. At a reasonable DA these cars would be near dead even in the 1/4. Don`t belive the hype, these Gen Coupes are a lot quicker than people are giving them credit for.

The Gen does tend to fall off past 100mph, don't know if it's a gearing thing with the auto, but he would basically pace me from a 20-40 roll to right about 100mph, and then I would just run away like he lost 30hp.

This same Genesis has beaten many stock turbo Cobalts from all speeds. That's why we figured the GMs1 would be a good run in the 1/4. If the car ran 13.92 @ 101 at 3200DA, closer to zero we're talking mid 13's. Which is where we figured the car to run in the first place.
I'm not sure why sure why people run into so many slow Gen Coupes.
