Good kill. I have yet to beat a GTO since my friends 6.0 is like one of the very few around me and is turboed...yeah....lol but I have beaten a c5 vette coupe 6 speed with catback when I ran 100 octane and my 100 octane tune

AHUH Kevin....He needs a new clutch now so maybe I'd have a chance if it was slipping like hell....but probably not
I did race him before his turbo....he beat me by 1 car lenght...at the time I thinkI had a 2.8 pulley catback exhaust and intake...no tune, running the maf transltor and his car was pretty m uch brand new

Nice. Another post where a GTO driver is pickin on a 4cyl.. Somehow though I am sure it's all the balts fault tho... :P The GTO I was in was an LS2 auto. I couldnt see it pulling a 270whp + balt. It had that nice v8 low end tq (for an auto), but it was far from being the **** thats for sure. When compared to what the high end v8's are making (blanket statement no1) they arent that **** hot at all. But then again bang for buck you get a decent car. As long as you dont mind having to pick on 4 and 6 cyls, youre pretty much good to go, and even then, watch out... :P LOL

Sorry kid but a LS1 or LS2 GTO is far from only a 4 & 6 cylinder killer.
The LS1 is equal to a Mustang Mach1 faster than a 1999-2004 GT, faster than a 2005+ Mustang GT and just a hair slower than a LS1 F-Body.
The LS2 is faster than a Mach1, overall faster than a LS1 F-Body, destroys 2005+ GT's, totally murders 1999-2004 GT's and is almost equal match for a 2003-2004 Cobra.
Saying the LS2 is not a high class V8 is like calling a SS/SC a full out sportscar.

From what ive seen jered and cody mainly is a drivers race till 120ish or more. Most of the racing is screw around but still there damn even. Mainly the only time you jump a car before 120 range cody is because you sometimes get a little ansy and go first(no big deal we all do it haha). Its no big deal just give the guy credit for beating a stock auto GTO and be done with the idea.

You know what I love about all of these mod threads. Knowing that in 1-2 years in most cases these cars will no longer be on the road or even driveable. Knowing that by keeping my car stock I can drive it for 6 years and maintain warranty.
But you guys keep them popular. And keep them rare!! (is that an oxymoron?) I love people looking at my car and wondering what the hell it is.

show me a stock ss/sc or stage 2 ss/sc that can make a 70-140 mph pass and keep the egt temps below 1400 degree's.
oh wait, they can't
so you tell me, which car is going to live longer. one that can maintain a 12.0 afr at wot and hit maybe 1325 degree's on the egt after a 0-110 mph run.
or a stage 2 car that runs 10.8 afr. goes through the traps at 1550-1600 degree's.
just because my car is modded does not mean will not live.

THE FACT IS "properly" MODDED VEHICLES CAN ACTUALLY LAST LONGER!
JUST DEPENDS ON THE MODS AND WHO DID THEM, AND THE DRIVER!
