As a former 2.2L owner, I wouldn't recommend racing until you have a full exhaust and a dyno sheet reading 170hp or better. Despite this, you apparently whooped someone's ass—so congratulations!

Yeah something happened cause TL's are pretty quick.

They are also one of the sexiest sedans IMO.

Type S TL is a beautiful car especially for an Acura.

yeah, i'll chime in. KEEP IT AT THE TRACK.

my car dynoed at 235hp/210tq stock auto. yeah, it weighs as much as a tank but i'm confident it will take out a stock 2.2 cobalt.

your friend is either a ricer for having a type S badge on an 06 or he really has an 07 TL and not an 06 like you said.

i used to have an 03 TL non type S, ran a 14.9 1/4 mile but i had all the bolt-ons. The new generation, 04+ and automatic aren't quick at all and a 2.2 would have a chance with the driver mod. A 6speed 04+ TL has the potential to run mid to low 14's so there would be no chance.

It was a type s buddy so than it must have been 07. I don't think hes gonna slap stickers on a nice car like that. Maybe thats your style!

you're the one that said it was on 06 type S your first post here. i was just giving assumptions on why an 06 tl would have a type S badge on it. it turned out that one of my assumptions was correct as he does have an 07 tl and not an 06 as you stated. i'm glad he's not one of them to ruin a tl.
