I dont think any bike is around 13 seconds, I dont think many cobalts are faster then 13 seconds, not much point to racing a bike!

Dont even waste your time racing a sportbike, I ride an 07 Kawasaki ZX-6R so i know how fast they are.

I have raced a Harley before, dont really know what model it was. He downshifted to try and take off on me, but i just hammered it and stayed neck and neck with him, then later down the highway we gave each other the thumbs up.

you have a better chance of smoking a z06 than any decent sports bike.

couldn't have been said better... most good sport bikes hit 11's stock. it's not even worth trying to race them, especially from a dig.

How would we do against a Harley Sportster? A guy at work has one but doesn't want to race me because he thinks he runs 9's in it stock. He also thinks that it is faster than 90% of the sports bikes out there.

I think he is full of bull.

No way does a sportster run a 9 sec 1/4, unless it has a fully built S&S 113ci motor.

Cause i have witnessed a turbo Busa run and he was only running low 8's

low 8's and a 9 second run is a HUGE difference

Would never race a sport bike, however not too long back was on my way home from work. Heading up I-95, had one cruising along up ahead of me, and I changed lanes to pass, realized it was a chick with a helluva @$$. She caught me checking her out, gave me a and took off. I down shifted and tried my hardest to keep up with her. Wasn't happening. Turns out she got off the interstate at my exit and pulled into the gas station. Had her helmet off, gave me a smile and a wave as I drove by. Only thing I could think was I'M MARRIED! THIS SUCKS!

Pssh, only Stage 3 SRT-4's can beat bikes.

On a serious note if you want to beat a newer streetbike, most of the time it's going to have to be up top....and it has to be a 600. 600cc streetbikes fall on there face up top, so that's the way to do it. A good rider on a 600 should kill you off the line almost every single time. 600's with a great rider can get into the 10's.

Liter bikes are a different story. They are monsters up top. If you can beat a new liter bike from a roll.....you have an insanely fast car.

I have an 07 R6 BTW.

I have raced several sport bikes in my WS6. From little 250cc-1300cc busa's. If the person riding a 600-750cc was a damn good rider it was close and if we would have raced 10 times it would have been 5 to 5. Like the one guy said they don't have much up top and I almost always got them outta the hole unless like I said they were a damn good rider. However anything bigger than a 750cc would usually pull me up top but I would alomost always beat them to the 60' ft mark and sometimes 1/8 mile. I think unless the person was a terrible rider it would be damn near impossible for a SS/SC to beat anything bigger than a 600cc since my ws6 was running 11.0x's @ 131 and I don't think I have seen a SS/SC that fast yet.

There still isn't a car on this forum that would touch a 600cc.

I raced a 2003 Modded cobra with 465whp from a 25mph roll to an indicated 167mph and beat him by 10-12 cars. The same car from a dig to a marked 1/4 I put about 15 cars on him.

Redstangers KB Mustang has 576rwp and beats the same car by 5-6 lengths in the 1/4.
