Area Update and Turbo'd Corrado Kill
Despite what my profile says, I'm not new to the site. I'm a dedicated reader and cobalt owner. I left for Basic and AIT at the beginning of this year and forgot all my passwords so I made a new profile. When I came returned, I was obviously more than excited to drive again... 6 MONTHS WITH NO CAR! To my suprise, Lebanon,PA has improved there car scene a little. There's some more competition out there worth the race and requiring effort... I like it:
VW Corrado pulls up blowing is BOV. Doing about 35 I downshift into 2nd, let him hear the RPM's and wait for him to pull. I hear his engine roar and see his bumper raise as he gets on it (I like to make sure they're really going first so there are no excuses). I mash the gas pedal in our power gear at a substantial RPM and pull away before I even hit redline. Shift into 3rd and it's all over. He didn't quit and kept coming back 2 or 3 times that night. I stopped killing him after the 2nd time.
Similar story with another turbo'd VW hatch. That guy was cooler, I beat him by a bit and we complimented each others cars. I'm a fan of sportsmanship in the car world. If you're trully a car fanatic... don't hate, appreciate...lol.
Anyway, I gotta get that Stage 2 now that I'm back, because competition is on the move, wish me luck.

I don't know anything about Corrado's, so I don't know when they started making them, but it looked like an older one IMO. And from the sound of the engine I don't think he invested in a big turbo. It was just nice to have someone keep up with me for more than 1st gear.

corrados are so sexy. i like the G60's better though. that could be wat you were racing? a g60 is a supercharged 1.8 litre the car weighs 2675 pounds and makes 156 hp. if it was a vr6 w ithout a turbo it would be making 175 hp and weigh 2800 pounds so if it had a turbo it would make some real nice numbers and i cant see you beating it in a stock car.
