street racing in any form is dangerous. When you throw in turns at high speeds and newb drivers you get a recipe for disaster. I don't condone street racing anyway even though i do it sometimes, but with turns it's just straight up dumb.

evo9? had one destroy me by 4+ cars from a 40-80 kick. nasty lil guy with full bolt ons + tune. Was when i was stage 2 tho.

the evoviii i raced was bone stock and took him by 2.

but yea, i got out my retarded twisty racing after almost flipping my car and after remarkably drifting through it, going over a hill that made me go airborne for 1/2 a second and almost flying in to a ditch. My poor 3000gt. lol

major wakeup call.

I agree. Like it is stupid but stuff will happen. I was just saying alot of people here are calling this guy a moron but when you see SS vs G35 and the Cobalt won, lots of praise.

Really? I need to go re-read some of those posts as I never saw it except for the dude who said he beat a SVT Mustang.

Yea i see what you're saying. I think throwing turns into the mix is just taking it too far. I see people sliding off the track all the time at the course and even sometimes hitting walls and you can imagine if that were on a public road with homes and people around, not to mention other cars!

Just to let you know

if caught with street racing

10 days mandatory jail time
1000.00 fine
1 year suspended licence

possibility of your car going on the chopping block in california

they dont play. The bad part about it is. I got caught for it just doing a simple 40 punch on the interstate. Something so minor, you go to jail for and wait 12 hours to post bond....let alone being convicted for it.

woke me up real quick. Then again i was racing more in RL than when i got midnightclub the first week it was out.

Canada is pretty bad too. Instant car to the pound for 7 days. $10000 fine and insurance rates go up for the rest of your life and thats for anything from doing a donut on the road, doing 50 over the speed limit to racing. They tried to pass a law where if convicted, they could crush your car but that was denied!

street racing is retarded- i had some guy in a dodge avenger (base) trying to race me on the highway.. i wasn't even going to waste my gas.. this guy is flying all around traffic, and then passes me on the offramp.. took the turn a little too fast and off the shoulder he went. flipped the car and im sure totalled it.

the moral is- when you're racing on the street or not, you need to make split second decisions, and they have to be the right one. to put it bluntly, they're arent very many people i think are smart enough to make those decisions. you're not only putting yourself at risk, but anyone else on the road or even in your car is at risk too.

as sad as it may sound, i hope that all those idiots flying down the roads from light to light, flying through curves on the country roads, crash their cars. it seems that is the only way for some people to learn.

even more sad, some people dont even learn then...

Nope ten thousand dollar fine and they can impound your car right away without even seeing a judge.

So say a cop is having a bad day and you look at him weird, he can say you were doing 50 over the limit, impound your car for a week, then you have to pay close to a grand to get your car out and screwed for a week. Its bad here

You all need to look into SCCA solo racing they are controled events. I did the street racing till I had a good friend pass away in front of me when he lost controle of his car at over 100mph and hit a tree that split him and his car into two peaces. DONT STREET RACE!!!!!!! The events that SCCA solo racing puts on only cost $30 to go race on a controled corse that you wont get your self hurt or anyone else hurt. The other great thing about these events is you can safly learn the limmets of your car to make you a better driver and you can ride with experinced drivers that will give you tips on how to be a better driver.

Yeah, Canada's laws against street racing are probably some of the strictest in the world. In fact I remember reading not too long ago on Leflanenews.com that the head of law enforcement for the province of Ontario was trying to pass legislation that would allow for the impounding and crushing of vehicles that just looked like street racers.... I'm not making this up either, search for it on LLN and you'll find it...

Like I said I've been challenged myself by someone to do a "fun run", and I can't say that I didn't think twice about not doing it, but I think I'll just stick with real autocross events and the occasional track day...

I run autocross on a CONTROLLED field, in a SAFE manner. Keep it off the streets, you tool.

The penalty in Canada is a MAXIMUM $10,000 fine, the minimum is $1000 I believe. You don't automatically get a $10,000 fine if caught.

You do however get a roadside 7 day impoundment + license suspension, and your insurance goes up for 3 years, not life.
