i was going up a local road here and seen this contour with exhaust getting on it and going around a corner squealing the tires so i pursue it and get upbeside him and just drive a little bit and then we catch a redlight...i ease into it a little and i hear him gun it ::intake was loud:: so i gun it by the time i hit the end of 2nd i had 2 car lengths on the guy...we both slow down....finally get a long stretch of road and no1 on it...from a 50mph roll:: without me downshifting to 2nd:: i stay in 3rd and he guns it he gets about a car b4 i gun it....by the time i hit the top of 3rd ive already ran him down and passed him again after this the guy comes up beside me and honks and gives a thumbs up...so another kill for the 2.2 sedans

Nice kill...I've seen your vid of running a high 15 so I dont doubt it....plus the 2.5 v6 in those only produce 170horse and 160lbs....and they're kinda heavy. I used to have a 99 cougar with the six....pretty much the same car....different body of course...not the fastest thing out there thats for sure. With an intake and exhaust...plus a crappy clutch I could only run high 15's.....problem was there was always something wrong with that damn thing so I couldnt go to the track much. DAMN U COUGAR! think I'll stay away from ford awhile.

I raced a v6 24v DOHC contour I beat him by a fender length. I had one passenger and he had one passenger. Funny thing is that his passenger said"oh its automatic you'll win" to the driver.
