facts are facts, you do your thing and they will do theirs
I dont have a cobalt. I have a CSRT4...

The same car that has been able to run 550 whp without internals on a big turbo upgrade, and 433whp / 533 wtq with just a compressor wheel upgrade on the stock turbo.

I know for a fact ur GTI cant touch that. I also know that if u wanted to run that much power, youd probly end up spending 4-5x more than I would.

Now about the GTI having a better engine/tranny.....

i agree we cannot touch the srt caliber mod for mod ill give you that

our internals are not as good as yours, our rods suck at 300whp =\, i cant help that.i was watching a commercial for dodge and it said lifetime powertrain warranty Execept srt moddels. im sure dodge knows something you dont

your car has a better "aggressive" stance, i love the csrt4 if i could afford it im sure it would be on my list of cars to buy.

but this is cobalt vs gti...... not gti vs csrt4, let the op have his moment and you stop bitching

O, the OP did awsome, no question about that.

I was just arguing with MP5T about how the GTI is such a better car than most sport compacts. Weve had GTI trolls in here that Ive gotten into it with them before and they seemed very ignorant and couldnt accept the fact that the SS/TC and the CSRT is a quicker car all around. Their rebound was their cars a "more refined". I said, OK, u can keep ur uber plaid scotish kilt interior, I will keep my amazing getrag 6-speed and forged 2.4l TD04 engine.

You seem cool though, much more down to earth than the idiots I got into it with.

seriously Audi VW are some of the most unreliable cars to walk the face of the earth... Everyone praises german engineering, but do some researching on TSBs and youll find the truth

THE ONLY RELIABLE EUROPEAN AUTOS ARE MADE BY......
MERCEDES BENZ & PORSCHE

BMW.... SUCKS
AUDI..... SUCKS
VW..... SUCKS
VOLVO..... SUCKS
SAAB...... SUCKS
JAG.... SUCKS

We may drive cheaper built cars, less cutting edge. I dont know about you Illl take some rattles here and there over multiple trips on a flatbed, and HVAC, electrical, and all kinds of **** not working, that costs fortunes to get fixed

I guess every car has its issues and lemons. I lucked out this time around with my Dodge, and the only problems Ive had were:

1) a pebble got stuck in between my rotor and rotor shield
2) snow got into the wheel wells and redirected air so the steering wheel felt funny

Both of which arent problems at all . I was afraid at the time though

Is the whole thing forged, or just crank / rods? Not even the EVO X version of the "world engine" has forged pistons. Just curious...

Back to the news~

See the funny thing is SOME OF YOU WIERDOS Still think the SS is better even if that is a $100,000 car.

I agree that there is no place for it in the "Sport Compact" class simply because of the cost. But some of you crazy wankers are willing to go down with the ship.

"My SS is Faster than an M3 so its better (And I have Sex with my Cousin)

haha you guys are funny..

OP, great race! That's pretty impressive! I've been a passenger in a BT GTI before and they are incredible!

As far as Cobalt>GTI...It's pretty much a preference more than anything. There are some things I would prefer to have that the balt has rather than the GTI. And also vise-versa. I would get a GTI over a Cobalt just because of the luxury factor and tuning potential. The Cobalt has awesome tuning potential, so don't get me wrong, but I would just prefer the GTI. And you really can't beat the looks on the GTI. It may just be my preference, but whoa those things look awesome!

sry to bring back a week old thread, but I just wanted to put in my .02!
