That Z28 is quiet for having LT's and no cats...

Anyhow, racing with the top down and shifting at 4500 rpm FTL

Nice run, that TA's gonna be about at least a mid to low 12 second quarter mile if he can drive it as well as get traction. That 95 Z28 would be lucky to brake low 13's with those mods.

Nice vid too, by the way

That LT1 wouldn't go any faster than 13.9.

Sure doesn't sound like 6k or a long tubed LT1...

i agree man, not to compare the ls1 with the lt1 but the ls1 with lt headers sounds nascar loud i think he rather have some shorty headers instead of longtube.

That's as fast as it's gonna go with those shitty restrictive stock exhaust manifolds. I picked up 30rwhp on my 96SS when i went from stock manifolds to Hooker LT's/O/R Y and an SLP exhaust.

If he's running LT's and only trapping 104 then he has big problems. Probably a shitty opti.

EDIT : Is it an automatic? If so it might have 2.73 gears which may explain a lot

Nope 6 speed, his first time at the track to so thats why with the times he ran 13.8 at 104 with a 2.2 60 ft. He did not know when to let off so i think he was lifting towards then end of the track

3.42 gears i believe

I raced a 97 Cobra... we had a 99 LS1 Camaro pass us both... those 2.73 gears get him MOVING in the higher RPM's/Speed.

All the Camaro has is a lid and a "ram air" setup and open Y-pipe... automatic as well. Had ran a 13.5 @ 105 earlier that day. Raped us both...

USMCFieldMP vs 97 Cobra (With LS1 making the pass!)

Yeah, Camaro396. He's a friend of mine... he says intake and exhaust are his only mods, but I've got my suspicions. I've raced an LS1 before... but his was just ridiculous!

Hell the Cobra had Long tubes, x pipe, and a Flowmaster exhaust with 4.10 gears... we did a dig race as well... he had me till I passed him at 45mph.

I thought it was a 99... I know the Trans Am that I ran side by side with was a 99. And I'm pretty sure he said his Camaro was a 99.

From a roll...it's Z-YA!

Good kill, but like some other guys said it doesn't sound like it has the mods it has, also those damn Vert F-bodies weigh a ton!
