Boosted Teg vs SS/SC (USMC!)

*** Cliff Notes, You know where they are! ***

A new guy joined our local boards. He recently boosted & tuned (Dyno'd at 260whp!) a 1994 Acura Integra LS and was looking for his first race.

<--- First to Respond to any race call-out!

So we try to find a date to race it on... but can't ever agree on one. Well, a lot of us at the local Hobby Lobby parking lot. Usually every night... 20 people on average. Well, last Tuesday I get off work, and head on over to the lot. Low and behold... who is already there? The Boosted Teg! Now the 260whp was a little bit intimidating... so I wan't sure how I would fare in this race... but the results speak for themselves. He wanted to go from a 35 roll (AMAZING!), so that's what we agreed on and head out to do.

So first race... I get to 35 and he pulls up beside me. I honk... 3 times and we're off! I pull an instant half car... and pull just inches from there. Then, at 5800 rpm - second gear, WOT... my car backfires! Big BANG! But it keeps accelerating. At 120 I am ahead by 1 to 1.5 cars.

We didn't get the first race on film due to technical difficulties.

Second Race... Same conditions. 35 roll... 3 honks... and we're off. I pull inches at a time, putting him back to my rear bumper at the end of second, and 2 cars back by the end of 3rd. Here is the video, you can actually here me shout for joy after the race was over I thought I was gonna lose since he had a lighter car and more whp! Exciting times!

BOOSTED TEG

*** Cliff Notes ***

I raced a Boosted teg 2times... won by 2 cars both times.

True... He has no V-Tec... his motor is V-Tec-less!

What's really funny... is he thinks that I am in the 270-280whp range right now. Saturday we are going to get dyno'd together ($35 - 3 pulls - Columbus Ohio - PM me for details)... he's gonna be in for a surprise when I only dyno at like 245-250whp!

Very nice kill man. It just goes to show. While he is "spoolin" you're gone.

That's nice to see. Keep up the good work Cobalt Soldier!

Nice kill!!

The guy in the Teg needs to find where his sweet spot for power is on that turbo setup. On my SAAB if I an rolling 45-50mph and drop it I am in full boost with no lag but hit me (or any saab up) at 20-40 and we fall flat on our faces usually.

He said 35 is his sweet spot... that he is at like 3500rpm, and that is a good spot for him. i dunno... that's what he says.

Refer to Post #6... he has a non-V-TAK motor.

Yeah as he runs it more and more he will find that he will do better a little higher up in the range or so.
