I say let them...

then when they personally get beat by a self proclaimed POS, it will be that much harder of a pill to swallow.

I've let people do that in the past...
believe me - it's a tough pill to swallow...

I let the jerk(s) rant on about how great their car is/was...
then beat them at the track...
(it was in an older & slower car than my cobalt btw)

they are just bitching at each other about being immature and everyone is entitled to an opinion and the guy that started trash talking me got called out by his own members. Then on the forum, daytona was trash talking until i mentioned how he said he ran a 13.8 with a tune and header but then he said stock chargers run 13.0 flat....he then went quiet and hasnt made a single post.

omg the dude is so dumb. He tried burning me with my videos of my truck...yet in both videos i won. He tried to compair his car against my 5600+ lb truck....

Then he said he ran 14.00@103 stock...how the hell does only get 14.00 with a 103mph trap. I trapped 101mph with the Evo and ran 13.5.....2mph less and half a second faster...and i was taking it ******* easy since i just got the car that day...lmao.

haha this kid is so ******* stupid im laughing so hard reading his posts. first of all you know hes getting butt hurt when he posts like 10 times in a row going on and on then he says "how is he getting heat soak its not like we were sitting or staging" obviously that idiot doesnt know what heat soak is. Im telling you with just cooling mods you would have pulled harder your on a 2.8 with no cooling mods in florida in dead summer into the middle of that pull your iats were probably so high and you computer started pulling timing

indeed, when i was on 2.8 with no cooling mods i was heat soaking like a ****...only reason why i wasnt getting any knock was cuz my afr was so bloody rich. When i got the h/e and meth on there and retuned it was like a different car....1st gear was useless but it was awesome..lol.

The way he went on about having traction issues...sounded like no other car spins at the track. Has he ever tried launching a cobalt at the track? Unless you got some skill and get an awesome launch, either your going to spin or wheel hop like a ****. And i'll be the first to admit, i was horrible at launching my balt..thats why i only ran a 13.8@108 with the tvs.

yeah dig racing against rwd will have a different outcome then roll racing against rwd. my first time ever at the 1/4 with a 2.8,60s,header,stock dp catless, 2.5" exhaust,ingalls td and bald tires I ran a 13.6 at 104.8 i was pretty stoked about that. I was also on a canned tune 10.7 afr

And thats what i mean, u trapped 104 and got a 13.6...with a nice launch you should be at 13.2-13.3. I had a nice launch in my Evo and ran 13.5@101. So if the guy trapped 105mph, he should have had a better ET then you or me. I can understand since im AWD i got a an advantage at launching. But he should have defently beat your 13.6 with RWD...yet he ran 2 tenths slower.

lol 13.8 at 108 is TERRIBLE. I ran a 13.0 at 110 last year with like a 2.2 60. What you sit at the lights for a second?

you can sit at the light as long as you want on test and tune it doesnt effect time

You can't really compare AWD to RWD or even AWD in bracket racing. You will always run a low E/T with an equally shitty mph. AWD and parasitic loss does that. In terms of power, the EVO is weak as **** stock and from a roll a turbo balt ( stock) would make quick work. At a track, sure you will put down a better time, but overall your car isn't faster stock for stock against a balt. Keep that In mind

Yeah the only thing to that is like my buddy he has an evo x and always wants to dig race with me... Im down for dig racing but cant get to the track everytime and I dont dig race on the streets because one its hard to do unless you luckily get stopped next to each other at a red light and two when we do we never race a full 1/4 mile its stupid you know what that outcome is going to be everytime since we can barely get an 1/8 in on the street. I look at it as seeing who has a more powerful faster car is determined by roll racing seeing who is a better driver/ all around car is dig racing

exactly...so why race on the streets and endanger people? You and your buddy could see at home or in a parking and say "well my car is 300hp and 3000lbs and yours is 250hp and 3500lbs...i win"

It just makes me laugh when people trash talk and say "my car will smoke yours at a 20 roll"......ok and? proves nothing. If you really want to impress me....race at the track and beat me there...if you can launch a FWD car and beat me, ill be impressed. yeah i feel ya its definately stupid to do it on the streets but you know sometimes you get on it a little bit lol. and I agree if you can drive a car quick at the strip then you can drive I have yet to go back since my 13.6 at 104 and since then I have gotten a zzp 3" catless dp, smc progressive meth kit, and new tires... just need a tune so I can start spraying. I was in the middle of getting updates from nick at byt but was using my buddies hptuners. I ended up having to leave earlier then I thought for school and havent gotten finished yet so im at 10.5 afr wot, and 15* timing... it still moves but it feels like a pig compared to when I was at 11.8 afr and 17* timing but that was before going to nick. Im definately thinking I can get a 13.0-13.2 once its all done

actually it's quite easy... since your car is faster off the line with AWD it makes up for the fact that it's slower up top. hence why a cobalt that has a slower ET in the 1/4 mile can usually beat an evo or sti from a roll.

With more practice in my car i should be at a 1.6 - 1.7 60'...which would bring my ET down to low 13's. I'm actually looking at a bigger turbo...trying to decide if i want a FP Green or FP Red (green is bigger then stock but smaller then red). With full bolt-ons and FP Green theres guys making 409awhp 355lb trq on 25psi and full spool at 2900rpm. Should get me into the high 10's - low 11's. But im looking into setting the car up for more time attack (and still a DD) so the FP Green would be perfect with quick spool time.

is it really true though that a evo x can trap 106mph completely stock? My buddy says 104 was the highest but he wasnt positive and still reading that one kids thread and he says he trapped 106mph with his brand new stock evo x thats crazy

Who cares if you dont. Point being, the TC is actually the FASTER of the two. I mean, true power is really measured by the trap speed and grip by ET.
