ok well it was from personal experience, I ran a H22a and damn did he suck. But then there's always the driver to consider... and the fact that it was in a Prelude and not a Civic...

idk man, give it a try. there's no shame into losing against a built motor. especially when it weights 1,000 lbs less. My buddy had a k20 in a 92 civic cx hatch, and lemme tell u what, i drove it n it flew. i really dunno much about the h22 but, i dislike honda's, but alot of them KNOW THEIR **** when it comes to beefin up a lil engine. but, like i said, go for it. one good thing about honda is u can drop any honda engine in without alot of fab and the wiring harnesses are all pretty much the same.

They make an adapter plate now for the H22's so you can bolt up a B-Series tranny to them to keep the motor in it's VTEC happy land. I was thinking about doing that for awhile myself in the Integra.

That takes care of the tranny but what about the rest of the engine.
Never heard of too many H22 parts manufacturers. In comparison to D, B and K-Series anyway.

I have raced a cobalt ls like the one I used to have in my 00 si, its still got the stock b16a2, and I was about a car ahead of him, my only mods are aem intake, and flowmaster exhaust, and if the car has an lsvtec swap it will be alot closer then you think that bottom end adds some good torque

H series aftermarket sucks, for NA stuff!! I could find nothing for my '93 Prelude. In a civic body the H22 is a beast though. I had a prelude ('93 style) beat my GTO 2 days ago. We ran twice from 20 to 120 and each time he pulled me so my front bumper was at his rear bumper. He is also turbo running over 12psi. Hondas vary so much its hard to tell how this is going to go, some are monsters some are pigs and some look like **** but are FAST. Hard to tell. Good luck but dont run for $$

^^what he said. I kept my muffler as small and quiet as I could when I had my civic. the only bodywork was removing and filling the mouldings and keeping it clean. and the only reason i went that route is because i'm an ass who loves to see the wtf!!? look on peoples faces lol. 89 civic hatch DOHC ZC engine swap turbo 220 whp less than 2000lb with driver do the math it could happen to u lol.

if its the C5 Type-R motor you're probably gonna lose.
an Ls/vtec frankenstien motor might even be able to take you.
