The cobalt saved my life

I was going about 73 on the free way and suddenly headlights flashed me in the face and someone was driving down the fast lane the wrong way and I slammed the brakes and fish tailed sliding right toward them and right before impact my hands spin the steering wheel the other way and my foot instinctively guns it and I swing my rear end the other direction and back straight then. Idk how my feet and hands did it but it was mind boggling

glad to hear your okay, seeing all of these crashes and **** makes me feel safer in my car. just in the back of my mind i know that i would walk away from an accident. but my brothers car on the other hand....... 1* side impact rating

wow, that is a close call. Its the manual transmission man, thats why I love it. You're one with the car literally, you can control it in so many ways. Good to know your instincts and reactions came into play.

damn dude maybe it was also you skillz and not the cobalt haha.

just got off work 2 lane road some drunk ass was driving in my lane towards me so i flashed my highs and they swerved off the road right into a ditch haha. felt bad but not my problem.

He slammed the brakes doing 73 mph... of course you're going to start fish tailing. You have to let the wheels spin to keep traction.

I know, my 2010 TC has ABS too, that doesn't stop it from fish tailing because your tires aren't spinning fast enough. As soon as the back starts busting loose you let off for a split second then get back on the brakes.

had mine fishtail once after taking a corner way too fast haha, scared the **** outta me and took a few seconds to stop it from weaving side to side. couldn't imagine doing it while avoiding other traffic too haha.
