i was doing 70 cruise control, 11:30ish p.m. damp road, foggy, with a car directly next to me on a 2 lane each way highway i was in the right lane, other car was passing very slowly. deer popped RIGHT in front of me. I put the brakes all the way down. swerved into the emergency pull of lane with no issues. just heard the a.b.s. going of like crazy. my car maintained the exact route i wanted it to go with no fuss. i think o.p. needs new tires or new rear brakes

He never said what model of cobalt he had though. He could have base model like me with no ABS.

It's different from pumping the brakes, and if I didn't know to do that this winter I could have probably blown up or at least been in a serious roll over. When I was doing propane deliveries I got cut off by someone turning onto the highway in my F-550 work truck with 60 filled 100lb propane bottles on the back (6000lbs of propane, and about 10320lbs in total) and almost fish tailed into the extremely low ditch.

All of the traction control systems aren't completely fail safe, they just make driving easier.

thats saved me more times than I can remember the stability control **** will almost make it impossible to wreck the bitch ..

just gotta be thankful Ive had that on ever time I've had a close encounter. Otherwise it would take some fancy driving to get it back straight ..

Im talking this car gets sideways and the Stability control just puts it straight every time ..

Amazing .. Our old 2008 cvic ex wouldn't even dream of doing that..

Fish tail e brake in a honda and it just lets you crash
