A Ferrari and Corvette at high school??? Damn... must have been nice to been born with a silver spoon in your ass *cough* I mean mouth... Even the speed6's... sheesh.

I just came from an Acura RSX-S, basically a glorified Civic Si. I'm not saying you won't beat it, but it would be a big mistake to just say a car is beatable because it's an import.

Little torque yes... but geared well. Gearing multiplies torque. It's got a flat curve too. Above 3k rpm they will move well. They can be a little tricky to launch but once moving they are pretty easy. I didn't think it was hard at all to keep it in the powerband. My RSX would accelerate pretty good all the way to 135-140 where 6th gear came in. I was in love with the shifter and clutch feel. Very very nice. Best yet that I've felt. They respond pretty well to most mods.

But good luck man. I think you'll win this one.

without a problem and to the guy with the RSX, those clutches and shifters are SOOOO SMOOTH dude, i love it as well as you do. it is very nice, my friend has one and he lets me drive it all the time, then when i let him drive mine hes like WTF??? why is it so hard to shift and stiff and your clutch pedal is harder to push down, haha.

Yeah, I know. And I felt so stupid about it too. It's one of those things I let bother me all the time too. Worst part is, I got a phone call from a blocked number 2 days later that said if I ever raced at the track again I would have my ass kicked. Well, I raced again 3 weeks later (next event) and nothing happened.

With the mods you listed at the time you posted this. (Intake, muffler for you, intake for him) if he can drive he has you. Particularly the higher the speed the race goes to.

THE launch is the key. Once he's out of the launch and hits vtec. Its vtec from that point on unless he messes up a shift.
