Here is the link to my race with an 08 civic Si sedan. I drive the hhr ss and i have the stage kit. The race is from a 40mph roll because this kid doesnt do anything off the line. Enjoy

yea not so much lol every time i've seen an si run they've been high 15's to high 16's i've never seen a new Si run below a 15 without something major.. one by me ran a 14.1 with giggle juice.. i'll give you their best time is about 14.7 ... but seriously ... there are so many out there.. you cant say that "average is only .3 above that.. too many shitty drivers..

It takes a decent driver to make the Civic Si shine. Mostly on the launch. But good drivers who can nail the launch... they can be quick.
I think they have.... what... a 4:42 final drive if I'm not mistaken. So the launch is bog or smoke. I don't remember stock... but after my reflash I think about 2600-2700 was perfect for me. Much above or below killed the launch.
When you are talking mods too... that K motor responds awesome to just about any mod you throw at it.

then i guess " many" ss/tcs run mid 13's there are way to many kids that own the si i have yet to see one of them hit 14's without a good amount of work personally..
while they're good cars.. with any average driver.. it's a drivers race between a 2.4 and one with an above average driver.. the 2.4 is going to need to be modded.

yes that is a fact.. the Si's have the potential to be quicker stock v. stock.. in the hands of a decent driver.. however you said best case scenario is a 14.7 bast case scenario for a 2.4 is 14.9 ... IMO thats still a drivers race
an Si should be quicker... but so far i've never lost to one.. or personally seen evidence of it

Of course that is true, modded 2.4 vs stock 2.0. Throw the same mods on a 2.4 Cobalt and the same on a new Civic Si or RSX-S, and say bye bye to the 2.4 Cobalt.

omg... wtffff... i see why the good members leave this site...
seriously... yes the Si SHOULD win but there are alot more "hotshot" teenagers driving the Si because they think honduhz are super l33t uber awesome.. so you have more people driving si's who don't know how to drive worth a ****..
i don't think anyone has contesting that the si SHOLUD be faster.. and under the right circumstances is faster but the every day SI with normal driver thats not the outcome.. not to mention sis's are offered in autos so an auto si vs a 5 speed 2.4 balt .. is a different outcome ...

The WTF was because there was no option for a auto SI. My wife has a 09 si. Unless there is some special order honda worked out but I doubt it. Std is a 6 sp and I don't remember seeing a auto options for any k20 from the type-s to the SI.

a apologize .. i went on the honda site.. and it says there's an auto option... but it turned out i didn't click on the SI like i thought i did..
and making a mistake doesn't mean i can't tell people to grow up.. me making a mistake has no bearing now how immature you guys are acting....
soooo.. grow up
fact of the matter is.. a WELL driven Si will beat a 2.4 everytime... stock vs stock.. unfortunately most Si's aren't well driven , not saying most 2.4's are .... i just think it's an easier car to drive
