Cobalt ss s/c vs 350z

Everyone should remember me asking if i could take a 350z. well i jsut got word today that my friend with his cobalt ss s/c with practically nothing besides a aem cai, jsut beat that kid with the 350z that always was bothering me. So it must be true a cobalt ss s/c can take a 350z. Now idk i heard the 350z was modded but not sure. Now what you guys think should i try racing this kid of what?

best i ran in my cobalt was a 14.8
best i ran in my Z was a 14.1

i'd say the Z with equal drivers wins. could just be a shitty Z driver, but having owned both cars now, i can say the Z is the faster car, especially from a dig.

the Z in 2nd from 40mph will definitely beat a cobalt stock for stock. stage 2 should give you a chance at being equal or edging it out.

I run consistant 14.2s all day. I would have to say its a drivers race stock for stock. Then again it seems not everyone's cobalts were made on wensdays To make this thread even more interesting, I have raced a 350z on the highway. We were already going about 60mph and he jumped on it. I was able to stay right with him, around 75 I started to sneak slowly past him. I have raced a 350z with exhaust, I was stock and I beat him from a dig by just a hair. I also raced another one from a dig at a light. He was very fast and beat me off the line and I couldnt catch up. He pulled off and talked to me. Very nice young man, told me he had exhaust, intake, headers and a tune. He said he was surprised he did not beat me more then he did. I want to get stage II and gmpp exhaust, manifold and show him whats up next time

Being a Z owner i have seen some slow times from some stock Z's. Most of the problem was driver error though. My best time stock was a 13.8@102... My best time now with 500 in the car is 13.6@103. A Z is hard to get the launch right with a new driver and very easy to beat. I have a friend who bounces from 13.9 to 14.6's when he runs. I can run consistent 13.6's.
