then why did you post in the first place and why are you still here? go away troll. The dudes tuned charger with headers couldnt pull away from a 4 banger cobalt, simple as that. And what excuse did we hear "oh my cats are restrictive" oh **** off, i had 4 cats on my truck and the thing was 5600+ lbs (~1500lbs heavier then a charger) and yet i was beating cobalts half the time at the track. If the Charger was so good, it should have put bus lengths on the cobalt.

^^^ exactly. R/t chargers are not much. And yea cobalts aren't superior cars, but they are amazing little supercharged "rockets" that respond well to mods and as far as the Turbo Balts go, they trap over 110 with about what...1 grand worth of mods? Can a charger do much better with that amount of money? Nah. Well then again chargers start off with a huge hp advantage, yet are pretty much dogs in their stock form. I would love to shut you troll's up. My buddy has a R/t with headers, exhaust, intake, and diablo tune i think? some tune like that. But whenever we race it's dead even with me pulling after 100mph. I will post a vid.
Last word of advice race a cobalt with the same hp as your glorious charger, you'll deff smoke him/her ; )

Indeed. I dont think anyone here thinks their cobalt is superior and is the best on the road. But for what it is, its good and the SS/TC's are amazing. But seriously lets look at it this way to see which is better
Price = Cobalt
Maintenance costs = Cobalt
Gas = Cobalt
Weight = Cobalt
Handling = Cobalt
HP = Charger
Reaction to mods = Cobalt
Appearence = Cobalt
Those are all the things i look at for a car....the charger only has horsepower over the cobalt and with the weight of it, its not much of a difference.

O M G...there is always going to be someone with more money and time who's car will be faster than yours. I cant stand the bickering that goes on about well my car is faster, well,....uh...race me from a dig. Well...i can do this to my car and then be faster. OMG, that **** wears me out. The daytona guy is a jackassssss just stirring the pot in a cobalt forum. I BET HE WENT THROUGH MANY OF COBALTS before he found one he could beat. Im sure the vids of him losing are not posted anywhere. My point, there is always a faster car, who cares. Buy your car, mod it how you want and dont give a **** what anyone thinks about how fast the freakin thing can go. As long as your happy thats all that matters. Im sorry everyone in this forum had to waste their time reading daytonas thread.

The Colbalt is a light weight go cart....he will get you out of the hole but you V8 HP catches up in the end.....

The V8 rear wheel drive will get traction easier and has more low end tq, so it will win the launch battle usually and the cobalt will reel him in and pass him after the launch.
