So you're saying you expected an ls1 with drag radials to get outlaunched by a cobalt on street tires?

Can't say I was expecting that. The dig race definitely caught me off guard. I expected the LS1 to launch better and then the cobalt to slowly reel him back in.

But the roll race was as expected.

At the same time, I've outlaunched plenty of AWD cars. It really boils down to the drivers.

lol to be honest that car (on paper) should get me on a roll AND a dig.. especially w/ DRs.. However, I knew the driver had tons to do with the dig.. which is why I had more confidence in the dig.. Relying on my driving over his

From a roll it was pretty close, the Camaro would pull a little bit at the top of his third, but when he guy 4th and the Cobalt was still in the third the cobalt would pull ahead.

Roll idk I still think u should win no matter the driver, I beat ls1 with exhaust from a 40 with just stg2, intake, and full exhaust.
But ya brandon still needs to learn how to launch, race rob maybe he's a better driver since he has owned one before

Not to be a downer but you do realize some of these LS1's are 12-13 years old by now and who knows what kinda of beatings they took over the last decade. I'm sure there at 100K mile plus cars out there that are down on power and need a freshing up ....... their dash boards look like a christmas tree with all the cel's they are poppin.

WTF are you talking about? LS1's gain HP with every single mile. DONT let me catch you talking **** about LS1's again. Got it?

Ive seen LS1s with 120k raping everything in sight, and ive seen my current motor let go at 64k i think. Pretty sure my ring let go the other day, Time for bigger and forged if so.
Point being, you cant really use that excuse as to why the cobalt walked the car, it could be in any condition and there is no use speculating.

Both cars progressively fell off in ET's toward 100K . I think it's a valid point .....how many LSJ's with a 2.9 do you see pull LS1's? I haven't seen many ..... by 3rd gear LS car's usually check out...... unless it was a slushbox . But really what are you making for power ....250 wheel?

Yep but the owner has to do them . I've changed the plugs in a F-body and to the faint of heart it can be a daunting task . Took me 3-4 hours the first time I did it.

Your wrong. I had a 2.9 pulley 42s a gm stage 2 tune and a bad intercooler pump. from 40 I was side by side with a ls1 z28 till 120 and then my front bumper was at the back of his door. The camaro blew his engine so he put a new one in it and it had like 30k miles on it. Camaros are heavy tanks that 300hp does nothing if you are 4k pounds.

Which Camaro's are you talking about ? then new ones weigh almost 4000 but the old ones are 33-3400 lbs. My brothers bone stock 00 Z28 went 13.0 with 315 miles on it . I find it hard to believe that a 2.9 SC car is going to run with one that is in good mechanical shape with someone who can drive.

Ur retarded I beat a ls1 camaro with exhaust with just stg2, intake, and full exhaust. And me and chris were always a good race with him being just a bit faster.
I love how this forum never believes a cobalt can beat anything. It could be a lsj vs a stock matrix and ppl would call bs
