LOL I <3 this thread.

260 isnt a great number for a 2.8 car. its about average. Something was off that day and i didnt meet or exceed the previous 265 mark that i achieved...

I did not expect to win or draw that race. The way I saw it, the race was mine to lose. Being able to pace u was just a bonus and it was fun for both of us.

LS1 > all. k thx bai

Yep I know I bought my 95 new in 94 for 22.5K..... and mine was cared for like a 20 year old with a new Z28 would ....... It was spotless and never neglected . It sat in storage every winter and when i sold it with 90+K miles on it in 2004 it went for 8500 which was a damn good price . I really dont get were people think i neglected it ... just because i ran the car at the track so much over it's life span ......I notice it starting to drop some power over the 90k i owned it? Maybe you guys bought them used and didn't see the same things i did .

So your running 12.80's and haven't been in the motor at all? running a bottle?

12.8 in a stock lt1 auto car is gonna take suspension/tire/stall and weight reduction. I've never seen a stall and paper filtered lt1 crack a 12.8. Now with proper tire some weight reduction and snagging a good 60 I could see it.

Thats pretty good considering most stock A4 LT1 cars dyno 240-245 HP at the wheels .

OP wow good runl I just watched the vid now. Your car is quick.
Its all about getting inside the trans, a real good converter, decent tires, battery in the trunk and a 50lb bag of dog food in the trunk. Stock stall is like 1450. My car has been sitting in a garage for 2 years cuz I moved but I'm sure shed be up for another pass at cecil county.

So your 165K mile LT went 12.8 and you were never in the motor once? same piston's rings and optispark?
Maintained is one thing mods are another . Unless that 12.8 was in a go kart
All Ls1s had tick from the factory. Mine does. Still runs like a bat out of hell with 78k hard miles.

Stock internals, Opti was replaced at 100k, which is considered maintenance. Just bolt ons an stall. 100k miles is the break in point for LT1s. A good friend cc503 cammed his at 145k miles on a stock motor and its still going strong at 161k.

I had intake, headers, free mods, 2800 stall, no cats, catback and tune with good tires when i ran 12.8s. It would have to be amazing air with just stall and battery relocate.

I think camaro's look best with nothing coming out the backend, although CME is a close 2nd. True duals ftw though.

It's fine, biggest issue i have had with it was i crushed some valves due to PTV clearance when i spun it to 7,100

I would always recommend Nitrous Outlet products. Their staff is very helpful and knowledgable and the products are top notch. HSW is popular as well, but the only product i like of theirs better than Nitrous Outlet is the Microedge. Microedge + Nitrous Outlet plate kit = win.

It wont be cheap to set up properly though.

Was not because of spray, its a long story. Some jackhole i paid fix the car after the valves bent since i was busy only had 2 qts of oil in the car apparently when i picked up the car, mind you i gave him oil and everything needed. Got a low oil light in the middle of railing a 350z from a roll, then the car died and showed no oil pressure and i got some horrendous knock and it blew oil out on me, but then i found metal in the oil after changing the oil, which caused a whole new set of issues.
http://s306.photobucket.com/albums/n...Picture001.flv <---- vid of the knock.

Really its a long story and if you want all the details i can explain everything i found out when i ripped it apart.

God that sounds horrid, ill check out nitrous outlet, i have heard of them before. I think a 150 shot on a fully bolted car should be safe.
