cobalt ss/sc vs s/c cobra terminator
#101
I am a past and present cobalt owner yellow ss/sc and now a black ss/tc so I have no biased and theres no way a 110mph car should hang with a 118mph car from a roll. Unless that 118 mph car spins its ass off Im just not seeing this happening.

What you guys have to understand is what kind of effect a pulley swap has on a blown 4v. You have to realize when you increase the pressure by 2psi on the terminator it is flowing WAY MORE in comparison to a 2psi increase on the m62. You guys may see a good increase with a pulley swap, imagine that with 3x the effect. Simple pulley swap/bolt on cobras make power ranging from the mid 400's up and they make peak torque nearly instantly. Go look on svtp, not even at the "fastest times" thread, just look around at people's signatures. Minor bolt on cobras are going 11's with FIRST TIME TRACK DRIVERS.

completely different game when you take away that suck-ass 60' on a FWD.

No I am leaving work right now as my brother got ran off the road. Like I said, I am pretty sure no Physics classes (atleast none I was in) did examples like this, but if you find a physics problem showing these I would love to see it!

where the hit occurs in the power band can affect it as well, and i never claimed i "hung with him" i said i lost and where i was at when it happened. he opened up that gap in 45-50mph, and the gap would have increased.

I am catching the tail end of this and dont want to read back. Horsepower can compensate for weight. If you dont belive me go to the drag strip watch old big cars hang the wheels. Maybe in road racing this plays a larger role but in drag racing not really.

k your ever present "pullied cobra"
what times does it run? again, what does a stock one run?
ps. i really hope you find just a pullied cobra for times, instead of using a pullied one with dr's, bolt-ons, etc.

The other night I was running a stock 09 ZR1 Vette, (with just X pipe) I missed 2nd, but he stopped pulling once I got into the top of 4th............. It really happened because I trap 107MPH and the vette only traps like 128. It was close, he only got me by about 2 car lengths....................

LOL WHAT??? its a RATIO. obvoiusly one can affect the other BECAUSE ITS A ******* RATIO. this was the single dumbest post in this entire thread. drag racers, road racers, i cant think of a single racer that would rather have a heavy car as opposed to a light one. obviously HP is GREAT, but weight is equally as important

I take it you arent very smart. How many pullied cobra owners run stock tires stock exhaust and no bolt ons. Come on now, I see common sense isnt your strong point.

I know of one and he is a friend.. He wanted to pully it so he did, he can't afford the rest of the **** at the moment and it isn't that important to him. There are a lot of guys on stock exhaust and stock tires..

How is it equally as important? Follow closely it seems your young and cant really follow this, maybe you should get up take some add meds take a nice walk and maybe you can concentrate better. How is weight equally important? Any car can be made faster at its current weight.

let's be realistic. 99% of cobra owners that do an upper swap will be doing at least some supporting mods. Even a pulley/tune ONLY car will be making in the 420rwhp range and that's with a larger pulley. bolt on, 2.8" cars are making ~440rwhp. You want to get into ported blower/meth guys, you're talkin around 500rwhp. There are no dead spots, there is no spool time.
