Racing is not only about the car you beat. If you don't think it's about beating the driver too then go develope a program that will accurately predict the outcome of any race with any variables and never race again.

An '01 r6 is not a v twin, it's an inline 4. The person you quoted was not agreeing with you, but proposing another possibility. If your friend really does have an '01 r6, he must be a terrible rider because a high 13 second car stuck with him. What a joke.
You don't understand the difference between the bikes the OP is talking about and what is possible to beat with any kind of OK rider. Almost any inline 600 will pull hard on the OP, let alone your friends car. 500 or v-twin are pretty much the possibilities here or he encountered a very bad rider.

what is it that people dont understand? point blank he didnt race a 600 sport bike. when mine was stock last summer i was next to my buddy in my r6 in a full bolt on and tuned rsx type s (2007) when he raced a s2000 w/ unknown mods. regardless they went at like 60 or 65mph and i was in 6th as a joke and pinned it when they did, at the start it was close between me and the cars but as we went fast i raped harder, my friend said i was at least 2 buses ahead of them by 100. i went to 160mph just bc i felt like it and they shut down around 130mph. he said they couldnt even see me anymore.

OK listen carefully. An 01 r6 will butt rape you, butt rape your mother, butt rape your father, then sit back and smoke a cigarette while you massage it's feet.

I beat the space shuttle once in a race while driving a Corolla. Sure he went the wrong way (straight up), but I still beat him. I guess I should be congratulated, and proud of my amazing accomplishment.

i actually dont think its that bad. you just gotta do it right. Find the road you wanna do it on. ride up and down it a few times to make note of anything that could cause a problem; if there is anything substantial then you dont do it there and continue your search. ive done it a lot and i feel much safer doing 160mph on my bike than in a car.

Hey Pookie, that's me he's talking about (I had the bike the other night when we met up for slow sho's race with you).
I'm not by any means trying to ride out to "defend bikes" or anything like that, just offering up a run with a bone stock 600 if you're curious as to how you'd do against one. I know before I sold my car I was always curious. I knew I would lose but I was curious anyways.
I'll be out tonight at the pike if you're interested. We can go from whatever speed you'd like. Just a friendly run for you to check it out if you're curious. I just like opening this thing up but don't find too many people interested in running a bike, win or lose.

^yeah, esp the new ninja 250's. they actually are a good looking bike. Full bolt ons and tune will net you mid 30 whp to the wheel (obv.). so i could see that happening.

I didn't read the whole thread, but as the owner of both a SS/TC and a 07 Ninja 600, I will tell you that there is no way the OP beat a 600, any 600, even with a crappy rider. LMAO.

There are some slow 600's out there........ Katana being one, SV650, older Carb'd 600's, CBR F2's, some F3's. NTM Various other slow ass 600's.... (Any non sport bike 600)
A Stock SS/TC can toke out an older Katana, those were slow as ****.

^ this is true. but like you even stated, all the bikes you mentioned werent sport bikes. if we are talking a 600cc sport bike, even the carbed 600 sport bikes of 98-2002 would beat a ss/tc easily. again, its all relative. a carbed 600 sport bike wont be THAT far behind a 2010 sport bike stock for stock.
