good runs, there was a 335 at the track last i was there, he was not very good when he ran my SC, I was at his rear at the end of the 1/4 but he broke into the 12s a few runs later.

Yes 2nd with some wheel spin and his stock clutch slips a bit in 3rd sometimes.

My camera does pretty good.

umm, the 335i in 2007-2009 with the twin turbo n54 motor are badass. The new n55 motor is not as good.
That jb4 tune is no joke, and is only like $500 for parts and canned tune. Tune, down-pipes and intakes make that car nasty fast...400whp/wtq for sure..the manuals have a bit more power than the autos...my next car hopefully, ive been doin my homework...lol

I wish I could afford a Beemer. I want one so bad, now that I'm old. I find myself wanting the cars I used to make fun of for being elitist.

One of the local ex cobalt owners in my province made the switch to the 335i with a tune. His cobalt had a tvs 2.7" pulley with meth with an aggressive tune and he has said the new 335i is still quite a bit faster than the cobalt was.

Kinda depressing since I bought his tvs and meth kit haha.

Nice vids. What stage cobb tune on the last car? There are about 120 n54 engine cars out there with hybrid upped twin turbos. I forget the exact wheel designations, but basically a td03-10 to a td04-15t?? I'd have to check again, but they put down 475whp with 93 octane and meth and about 500whp with race gas and meth. At that point they are tapped out using the stock piping (mainly the stock turbo housing limit and not the wheels).

You should see a story next week, at edmunds inside line on the vishnu 335 shop car conversion to a single turbo. They are in the 627-650 whp range on all stock internals and installing the kit now on a few customer cars in-shop before releasing pricing soon.

edit - the larger twins take the stock TD03-10TK3 twins up to TD04L-15T, which includes a whole new CHRA in the stock housing.

Why would anyone buy an M3 if you can turn a 335i into such a beast with minimal mods?

Well an M3 can stop and turn a whole lot better than a 335i stock for stock, The 335i can be beastly in a straight line but i think would get pwned on a road course/auto X by an M which is no slouch by any means with a 400HP v8 in it! I love m3's but the E36 version!

You can do the same with an m3. Just with an Intake, Primary cat delete (xpipes) and a good tune. OE tuning or Evolve. You can easily be just as fast as a jb4 335i. And you have an m3 with LSD and much better suspension etc. 335 is a nasty beast though, much more mod friendly than an m3 and cheaper too.

Next m3 looks to be a turbo model, and will likely take well to mods. To get the current m3 v8 up to >=550 bhp your likely looking at a >$10k supercharger. As others have said, the m3 suspension is in another league, although as you can come up with the budget $, you can slowly mod a 335 to include the m3 suspension bits, after market LSD, etc. The 1M was basically an N54 twin turbo with the m3 suspension and brakes that could add the same performance mods available to the 335/135.

Cobb stg2 i believe and was done custom at a local shop. It's funny because the Jb4 tune only car is the fastest one without all the bolt-ons.

Ran a 335 with jb4, intake, and cat back on Thursday. He pulled about a car from the hit at 40mph. Ended with me 1.5 cars in front by 120 and still pulling
