Haha i was joking around, the ss's are a good amount faster then the gti. Even though the 1/4 mile difference isnt that big gti's trap at like 91-92mph while ss's trap at 98-100mph, which is a pretty big difference. So obviously the cobalt has a more trouble with wheelspin then the gti. Ive test driven both of them and they each are fun in their own way.

Some of those posters pissed me off. I wanted to sign up and start putting them in their place. One kid said that Cobalt's can't be fast because it's a chevy. Yet I doubt he has beat any SS/SC. Some posters were cool and gave love to both the SS/SC and Cobalt. They can clal our cars Slowbalts all day, but we'll see what they do when they constantly lose.

Ehhh, I come here to find out the newest information about parts....also, i'm a big fan of the HOW-TO's since i'm no mechanic but love to do stuff myself (i'm jewish, and it saves me lots of money hehe)
I do patrol the other boards: SRTforums, Redline Forums, LS1 GTO, EVO forums, SCoobie forums, etc just to see what they are up to. I like to know a little about every car so when I come up to a person with that car, I can actually talk to them without saying "what does that do?" or looking like an idiot.

Just test drove a DSG GTI about an hour ago. Its a sweet little ride. The DSG is awesome!!! if that thing went on a diet it would be a serious competitor. Or just add HP

most of the time its not worth going over there....though i know how tempting it is.
they are just as biased to their car as we are to ours. theres nothing wrong with that.
just let them be....give a hearty chuckle....and line yourself up with one at the track next time and let the cars do the talking.

because of course he was driving without 2nd gear..his battery was dead....his clutch was slipping....he had 1 wheel missing....and it was being driven by a 97 year old retarded 1 legged midget.....of COURSE the cobalt won DUH!

The main argument that most of the people in this debate on both sides is that the cobalt is faster stock, non-negotiable.
Cobalt will undoubtably win a 1/4 mile everytime with equally competant drivers.
Where I forsee you guys getting into trouble is any course with turns, needs for acceleration and good hookup. It's german engineered, but but many germans like to go to the track on bracket racing night like most American enthusiasts? Germany, Nurburgring, that's their interpretation of racing. Americna muscle didn't have that in mind. Can you imagine a Nova trying to hammer around hairpins?
Some people don't see that both cars have significant benefits, instead of their usual thinking that the 1/4 mile is the end-all be-all of automobile supremacy.
But in defense for VW'ers.. Watch out for the up and coming R32, it'll give you guys a good run

some dude I work with has an awesome blue R32. those look sweet with the dual pipes in back, and they sound amazing when they are just creeping through a parking lot.
