cobalt ss vs. neon srt-4
i was out cruzin tonight hanging with a friend when i saw a neon a coupe cars ahead when the traffic in his lane slowed i past him when i was beside him he reved his motor so i slowed down. when i got beside him he just kept looking at me when the traffic in my lane moved he took off. i was rolling in second at about 4000 rpms and took off to i crushed him by about 2-2.5 car lengths after i slowed down he road beside me agian and reved his motor i just looked and laughed and he drove away. i have had my ss for 2 weeks and have a stage 2 kit on it what i think is funny is i still have temp tags so people see it they think its an easy win well he got proven wrong(the same thing happend a the other day with a gti

yeah at first i thought i was gonna lose cuz he reved his motor i herd the exaust (def not stock) and the turbo perge and i was like oh well im still gonna and it just riped that stage 2 is so nice just cant wait till friday for the exuast and intake hopefully another big diffrence

And a Stage1 SRT could have a 50trim and a Stage 2 SRT could have a 50trim as well...
Stage 2 stock turbo is more the TRUE Stage 1/2 you're talking about.
Mopar only make Stage 1,2,3.

good kill,
i raced one at the track the other night, i thought for sure he was gonna burn me , said he was runing 19psi, and some stuff done and what not , he only ran a 14.3 @98 to my 14.4@101 (i took him out of the hole ) but he stuck to my rear bumper. any way ,watch out for them , they can handle close to 500 hp on a stock engine so 11's arent that un common.

Thats where SRT-4 fanboy vs normal person Stage definitions come in.
IMO Stage 1 or 2 means just that and nothing more.
If they are really so proud they would bring up the other $2,500 in mods not just claim Stage 2.

True dat. But You could be Stage 2 and TBE and thats still Stage 2

i almost got a srt4 , but they were like 40k+ miles and still saleing for like $18k i got the ss used with 11k on the clock for 18. if i had known then what i know now about thoes engines being so stout , probly would have got the srt-4.

yea ive raced a few srt4s. got walked by one with stage 2 w/ toys whatever that consists of. said he was making round 300. next week raced him again after a much needed tune and was pretty much dead even. no clear winner. he told me wait till spring, i told him dont worry i didnt even spray lol.

Wait till the 75 stingray with a 383 and the 8-71 blower with 8-71 nitrous setup is done that me and a friend are building. personally when i get beat (mostly by GTO's and S4's) i say nice car and accept my defeat graciously. more people need to do that rather then the tired "well if i had", or "wait till" or my fav "my friend has a faster car"

um ok. ur entitled to your opinion. but it the end i'd take a stingray over a srt4 or cobalt anyday. idc what u do to ur srt4 its still a four door sedan and therefore not a sports car. might be retardly fast but still not a sports car
