Cobalt Ss Vs. Srt-4
All You Cavy's Who Think That You Can Beat A Srt-4 Must Be Out Of Your Mind.. Now Grant You I Went To The Track Friday And Watched A New Member Of My Club Run A 18.7@88.79mph His First Run... You Have To Exclude People Who Actually Cant Drive... Cause If You Cant Drive The Car Cant Go... I Like The Cobalts, But There Not As Fast Stock Or Not As A Srt-4....

This thread should be locked.
I'm so sick of hearing this Cobalt v. SRT4 stuff. I don't know if you realize there are at least a dozen threads of this comparason. Most of it are fanboi's, I hope you're not one of them.

ok before you post, read through the forums, everyone here admits as far as all out power, the srt-4 will win, in the 1/4 mile. but as far as handling and braking go, the cobalt ss s/c will win. watch your caps, read before you post.

The way I see it The Co SS and SRT4 both have thier ups and downs, but in the end they level out to be about the same... a kick ass ride. I really think Srt-4's and CoSS's need to link up on the war on rice. Jesus I am tired of lame honda's and Mitsibishi's trying to run the streets!

i dont have a problem with coss's, just people that have a problem with srt4's.
they are both domestics, and at least they are better than ricers

ummmmm....the srt4 is a neon.. sorry that you were mis-informed... maybe you should take a look at your title and get back to us on what it says.... and the cobalt SS is not a cavy, its a SS version of a "cobalt" weird i know

I agree that this is getting old and we should put our heads together to dust the rice burners.
I'm sure the SRT guys could help alot of us and as we modify our SS's we can share our results and know how.
I must say this and it is truth.
The driver absolutely makes a difference, and may have something to do with the following statement:
I have only run against 4 SRT's both on the strip and the street.
I HAVE NEVER BEEN BEAT BY A STOCK SRT BY MORE THAN HIS REAR BUMBER TO MY FRONT.
AND!!! I HAVE ACTUALY BEAT THEM.
From a standing start I always lose the holeshot but always gain and usualy go through the traps at a slightly higher speed, even if I lose.
Now wheather this result was from fear, I always beat the SRT over 120 MPH. Any one who has tried to stick with me to 140 is toast.
I laugh every time someone on here says the SS has no top end. HELL the SS is all top end!!!!!!!
Long story short-I usualy get beat in the 1/4.
I usualy win in the long run.
No s_it.
And dude, the SRT is a neon.

nice way to introduce yourself on a cobalt forum
cavalier= diff trims (dont know much about) lol
cobalt= diff trims highest: SS
neon= diff trims highest: SRT-4
so....
an srt-4 is a neon, but i have respect for them, ****.. i almost bought one
srt and cobalt should help each other, and everyone knows the srt-4 is faster stock, and mopar has backed them up alot too, so the SS's cant hang with um yet.

Your car is basically just a performance version of the standard Dodge Neon, its not a totally different car. Just becasue its got a turbo, bodykit, and wing does not mean its no longer considered a "Neon".

When people walk up to my car at the track, they call it a "Neon" after I've blown their doors off on said track they call it an "SRT-4"
I actually prefer people to think of my car as "just a Neon." It means they are severely underestimating it.

Calling it a neon is not underestimating it no1 will underestimate a Dodge Neon Srt-4 don’t worry about that. None the less it is still a neon nothing to be ashamed about

last time i checked my title said 05' dodge srt-4, but hey you also may have known that srt-4's are not even built at the same factorys as the neon... but hey if it is a neon, then that sucks for cavy's sorry i mean cobalts cause you get your ass handed to you by a neon.. only 1 person has a co'ss in oklahoma that i know of, wait 2 a red, and yellow... one.. the red one got his ass handed to him at the track with a good ole time of 15.14 not once ever breaking into the 14's... at least the person srt-4 that ran 18's pulled a 14.9 the very next run after some coaching...
