Cobalt SS vs STi..?

Well... Me and my best friend have drove around and we both think were faster than eachother... We did one little half race down a road, he was behind be and I putted at like 25 and then gunned it.... I missed 3rd and he got around me, and about 2/3rd mile later I caught up and passed him back.. I was going about 15 mph faster than him at about 145... We are going to this place people call "the driveway to nowhere" it is like a mile long and goes into a field and has nothing back there... Just an open parking lot type thing back there... It has seperated lanes that WERE going to be used as the entrance and exit... Seems perfect for a rolling start again.... Anyways! If we do a 30mph rolling start am I going to beat him or are stis faster? I have 09 ss sedan, stock... He has 08 Sti stock... What's the verdict?

Nah... I think an awd that launches at 6k and barely chirps the tires can probably take me from a dig... But that's just my thoughts.

Yeah... Road and track has the trap speed in the quarter higher, and the 0-100 higher for the cobalt... It still looses in the quarter because of the insane 60ft time by the sti

*Bump* there's pics of the contestants in my images!

Yeh, from a roll your passing time in the balt is awesome. Never raced a STI, but I did blow the doors off a 08 wrx impreza from a 50 roll, with him getting the jump. 08 imprezas are only about 40 whp less than the sti.

It could depend on who knows how to drive there car better to tell you the truth. I've raced and won STI's plenty of times but I've also had some modded ones rape me. Today I had this punk in a STI ride my ass so I floored it and he kept on my ass pretty good. I don't know if he could have past me but when I finally did turn off I could see he had exaust and probably some other goodies. So he most likely would have raped me. Heres what makes our cars better. Every D-bag and there mother has a WRX on the streets. I can go months and almost went an entire year without seeing another cobalt SS. And that was when I lived in North Seattle. They have to be around but you don't see them.

30mph is a bad speed for cobalts.. But then again.. I don't drive a turbo'd one so it might be a little bit different. I know from a roll in general you should be a bit faster than a stock STi. Don't even try from a dig lol.

>>> Unless he sucks horse **** at driving and you want to brag about beating an STi from a dig haha.

I love beating 35,000 dollar and up vehicles

I have a stock 08 ss/tc i raced a sti wagon that supposedly had a turbo upgrade and i know it had a full turbo back 3in exhaust. we ran it from a light which he obviously left me from the light but i ran him down. he let off as soon as i pulled next to him. then we did a 40 roll which i let him do the 3 honk and gun it. i left that heavy ass wagon like he was standin still. i know its a wagon and they r atleast 2 to 300 hundred pounds heavier but it couldnt be too diff with a stock on stock ss/tc vs. a sti sedan. you think?
