I have a very, hard time beliving that first car was a Cobra. First off, you can't hear the blower. Secondly, the disparity between the two Cobras is to signifigant for both cars to be putting down about the same HP.

Finally, the driver of the supposed GT-500 sucks. Every shift he loses a car and a half.

I would be ultra pissed off if that was a GT-500 and I lost to that SRT-4. The GT-500is going for about 20 grand over sticker, so that would be one big check to right every month knowing I'm going to get owned by a 22 thousand dollar car with some mods.

I don't doubt that it could have been the GT-500. The thing weighs 3920 lbs! Its the fattest, worst handling, most overpriced mustang ever.

Yeah a Mustang that costs that much should be able to hang with a base Corvette, and it doesn't. Come on Ford, why do you suck so bad? You can't even make your ONE good car outperform the competition. The Mustang GT recently lost to the Cobalt SS in a road course race in Car & Driver for god's sake!

Well Ford might suck, but there's not too many companies in the world that can make a reliable NA V8 that makes 505hp. GM is just the master of the old school pushrod engine, and the LS7 is an amazing peice.

Shoot I would be frkn happy if I was the GT500 owner. Hanging like that w/ a 50 trim SRT-4 with only a pulley and catback lol. IMO the video seems a bit skewed only because the SRT-4 owner didn't slap his page of mods in the video.

Im not making excuses but Auto cars are only good from a dig. Run a 5 speed GT from a roll and expect a different result.

Actually when it comes to Mustangs it makes a pretty noticeable difference unlike the GM LS1-LS2's. That's why a gear swap to 4.10's with SN95 Automatic mustangs is considered a must if you are staying N/A.

Don't worry I'm not at all justifying why the Mustang lost...regardless of anything you still blew the doors off of it. I would have liked to see a dig race though!

Yea we will have to have some dig race videos, but it was kinda hard to do that on a 2 lane highway

5-speed or Auto from a roll or from a dig a near stock 99-04 GT will get killed by a Stage 2 SS/SC.

The GT may appear to have an advantage from a dig but after first gear the advantage is gone. It isn't if the SS/SC will pull but when it will pull, hell in stock form I could easily reel a 99-04 GT in.

I will never understand the logic behind the 99-04 GT. From a performance stand point it is pathetic.

Small POS brakes, terrible suspension and low reving low power SOHC 4.6 oh my!

Even after a gear swap they may be quicker but they aren't faster. Without cams they aren't much to worry about in a decent SS/SC.
