Cobalt TC roll race...

I am sorry I know I need a video for anyone to believe this but even I was amazed...so there is construction on I-25 just before Woodmen in Colorado Springs and it is backed up and I so happen to end up next to a guy in a new cobalt tc and he was like "hey is that turboed and I was like no its the old supercharged one...he was like nice I love the sound of the sc...so his lane gets ahead of mine...we end up having open road in front of us just ahead of the Interquest parkway exit(5 miles down the road) and we did a roll from 65 and I would say I pulled 3/4 of a car to 1 car on him...traffic got in the way so we slowed way down and went from a 45 to 50 roll and I put a car on him I would say...we caught up again and I told him I was stage 2 and intake and he was suprised that I did what I did, but I told him that if we did a race from a dig he would take me cause of traction issues...all in all I was surprised with the outcome!

lol same thing happened to me when I had my cobalt ss/sc.... but I pulled 2-3 cars at about 120 mph... I had a video going but my friend didnt no how to work my video camera so it wasnt taped... Pissed me off

Yeah from the 65 roll we went to about 100...from the 45-50 roll we went to about the same thing...don't know what would have happened if we went farther? I think that the sc has the advantage from the roll race big time which sucks cause we should be able to dominate from the dig as well!

A stock TC and stg 2 sc are about the same... The tq advantage of the TC down low... he either did not know how to drive or something...( Key words here for the TC to have taken the wun : Brake-boost) I've beaten my buddy when my TC was stock running his stg 2 SC , blew his dorrs off from a dig too... How ? the TC has max tq by 2000 rpm , stock it will take out a stg 2 SC if driven correctly and as for on top the stock TC has so much more pwr up top then the SC's even a stg 2. The TC has to be brake boosted to run good in roll races and this guy in the TC did not know how to brake-boost...

TC is a better car and is faster than a stage 2 sc with intake...roll race i think the sc has the advantage or is equal, but at the track where it really matters the TC wins...which I don't like but thats cause I am a sc homer!

I just hope they can get the direct injection figured out because I hate srt-4's and I am sorry but the sc's have no chance against the srt-4's with full potential

Just because you can rev an engine higher doesn't mean it has **** for horsepower up in that range.

Do you really hate SRT-4's or just the owners that are in your area since they may act like douchebags? Some of us are actually not that bad.

I mean I love my SRT-4 but I like the Cobalt SS/SC and TC as well. I thought GM could have done a better job on the SC at first but it was a decent start. With the stage kits they kind of made it worth it, but they should have incorporated the stage kits as stock from the factory. The SRT-4's should have been the same, S1 from the factory, S2 as an add on to boost the car up from 240 whp to 265 or 280 whp and then S3 for 300-365 whp. That would have put both cars more inline with the the sport compact scene that they were developed for.

As for the TC I think they have a very good starting point and so far I am pretty impressed with the power, performance and some of the additional features like the no lift shift. And with the tunes and mods that you are able to throw on easily get to 300 whp. Not bad.
