Hey Brandon. You may not want to associate your name with mine. Most people here don't like me. LOL.
You should post up slips in the official drag times thread. You'll be in the top never ending times and the platform specific times. What are your mods and 60's and traps?
edit: NM. Just noticed you don't have a Cobalt.

As for 1/4 i got a 12.9 @ 109 with 1300 ft elevation, 85 temp, and a shitty 2.0 60 ft on a concrete slab track. Only got 2 runs in before the track was shut down from an accident.
A 1.8 60 ft would have gotten me mid/low 12s easy. Sucks I didnt get more runs in but no biggy. Soon ill be almos maxed on bolt ons and will be 11 capable.

Well first off... Temple of VTEC dynoed a "260 hp" Acura CL Type S and got 219 whp, they dyno tested an 03 Accord V6 6-speed and it dynoed 218 whp. The 6-speed's are underrated by a good 15-20 hp.
dyno before 4 inch cai
Accord 6MT FBO dyno - YouTube
Here's 25 page thread entailing the details.
V6 6MT I/J/E/PCDs/IM dyno! - V6 Performance.net Forums
Basically pcd(pre cat delete, the exhaust manifold is a part of the engine block itself), j pipe(downpipe), 3 inch exhaust straight pipe, UDP, 4 inch cai, ported and polished Acura 3.7 IM and bored Acura 3.7 TB. That's all the power adders.
The biggest factors are
J pipe= ~10 whp
3 inch exhaust= 5-10 whp
IM/TB= 15 whp(blue line on the dyno is before these were installed)
PCD's= ~15 whp
Keep in mind this is a tradeoff. It's only a little port injected 2997 cc single cam, so it's not making a lot of torque(but what little it does have 90% is available from 2k rpm) and all the power is at 5k+ rpm. With a tune it would be above 300 whp, but there is no tuner out there for it.
Casionerd has a 300 whp Cobalt SS T/C and ran DA corrected 13.3 @ 107, the DA for the 13.46 @ 106.66 run was at a virtual DA of 0. So makes sense to me....
It was probably in the 290 whp range that run, the above dyno was before the 4 inch cai.

You shouldn't give MillerCycle a hard time for bringing up this old thread. At least he searched before making a new post.
He and I went to a dyno just for fun today. I made 291hp and 332tq. A few months ago at a different shop I made 300hp and 359tq. Both Dynojets. The only difference between the two runs was swapping out the stock FMIC with the increased clearance ZZP and an MPX CBE. Today's pull was in temps probably around 50F and the engine was at 194F. The pull with the higher numbers was at like 98F, temp reading 196F and a fan blowing on the engine.
... but dyno numbers are just numbers. I'm pretty sure it's at the same power and maybe the actual numbers are somewhere in the middle. I dunno. After the pull, a guy working there came over to see what kind of car it was. The shop owner told him it was a Cobalt.... supercharged. LOL.

Wish I could get a 1.8 60'. My best ever is like 2.2. You'll be faster and get plenty of track time once you get back to the states. You should be able to run 12s all day and maybe high 11s on the stock turbo with FBO, tune and E. Love Evos. Should've bought one instead of an STI a few years ago. I think I got a sub 2.0 60' once or twice. I remember running 13.8 @ 98mph once. Jealous.

I made 243 whp/209 lb-ft. Not much torque but 90% of it is available from 2k rpm.
EDIT: Guys look at our AFR's at the bottom!!

And as per ur request ill play nice. Miller needs to dial in his afr's. Those are atrocious.

Um that SS/TC needs a better tune 29X whp is not much more than a GMS1 car makes.

I think you guys are looking at that graph wrong. I dont think thats a cobalt before and after tune dyno. I think the 240whp and 200trq is the Accord v6. The cobalt made 291whp and 332trq. No before tune dyno tho.
I dont know one single turbo cobalt that made only 200trq at factory power lol.
EDIT. I see you meant 29X I though you meant 29+ whp. my bad.
It depends on what boost level he has it set too and his mods. At 20Psi I only made 297whp and 327trq so it seems right to me.
Okay so back to all the **** talking before about 13sec accords. There is no way in hell that accord runs mid 13s. Nor could it compete against a factory LNF cobalt.

At 23 psi with a decent tune it should make 315-325 whp 360 wrtq easily on 91 or 93 octane. I agree about the Accord unless it has magic gearing or something. I have a similar car a 2012 SE V6 Pentastar Dodge Avenger 6 speed auto rated at 285 hp and 260 trq that makes 245 whp 227 wrtq and weighs 3400 lbs. It will not run mid 13s though not even close it runs mid 14s at 97 MPH.
I think Honda Accord v6 probably weighs close to 3300-3400 Ibs as well thus I have a hard time believing there is a mid 13sec Accord out there with a stock tune, underdrive pulley, intake and muffler.
I dont even think its possible to shave 1 second off with slicks for that accord. Trqs not strong enough to really take advantage of Slicks as much as "say a cobalt with 330 trq lol".

yes, I agree with that statement too. 23psi should net around there. I have 24psi now. No dyno though.. but its definately peppier than my 20psi tune.

It would be good race with stock Cobalt T/C as sits, I dyno the same as my friend's stock MS3(both 243 whp) and actually weigh a few lbs less. I also have 6-speed, where T/C comes with 5 and my powerband has no valleys.
Here's an Accord with 18 less whp then me, he doesn't have CDV delete either(which takes off 1/8-1/4 second to each shift)

My other mods are ZZP catless downpipe, MPX catback, K&N SRI and ZZP chargepipe. I don't think any of the mods matter that much except for the intake and downpipe. My tune is a conservative 23psi Trifecta.
I wasn't thinking. I should've done a run with my cruise button pushed in because that's GMS1. DOH!!!!!!!
I honestly don't think the numbers are bad. I think it's just a different dyno on a different day. I made 300hp and 359tq on a different dyno on a different day. I'm pretty sure a GMS1 would have been 30hp or so less.
Nope. Sold it.

I weighed my car with virtually empty tank and it came in at 3157 lbs. I'm on v6performance.net and there are many of the members who run 13's all day long. UDP does just about nothing. Pre-cat deletes are dyno proven to give about 15 whp, J pipe about 5-10 whp, Acura 3.7 Intake Manifold and bored 3.7 Throttle body 15 whp, 3 inch exhaust 5-10 whp, CAI 5-10 whp. It responds very well to bolt ons. Before my most of my current mods I ran 14.4 @ 100 mph(with a 2.6 60 foot; limited by open diff and all season Falkens), with just short ram intake, 2.5 inch catback exhaust, and cat delete.
It would be good race with stock Cobalt T/C as sits, I dyno the same as my friend's stock MS3(both 243 whp) and actually weigh a few lbs less. I also have 6-speed, where T/C comes with 5 and my powerband has no valleys.
Edit: There is no tune for my J30, Hondata just released their first ever J series tuner for Acura TL Type S J35 last week, and gained 15 whp throughout the curve.

This. I actually think you're being a bit generous.
We're not talking about 275-290. We're talking 268 (high GMS1) to 292 (low bolt ons and tune). On average, a tune and a few bolt ons seems to be 30-40hp.... from what I've seen anyway.
You made 268 uncorrected hp and you're one of the highest.
.... meh. It's all just dyno numbers. I'm just gonna keep living my life 15 seconds at a time.

I have an intercooler but it's the ZZP increased clearance one. I don't think it helps any more than stock but it's just for piece of mind. By replacing the OEM one, I don't have to worry about end tanks.

The shop we went to is a Honda place. They said his AFRs looked fine and that where it's running lean is down low where it doesn't matter. ???? I don't know anything about Hondas.... even though I've owned five of them. lol.

Ur tq curve is pretty decent. It seems like ur hp curve falls short though. What are the rpms it falls off at? I cant see them at the bottom of the pic. U should retune and see if u can hold or build to redline. It will make the car feel MUCH different.
Yea nevermind on the accord i misread the afrs. It seems like it actually has a very good afr from the factory. Mine was a pig rich 9-10. I had LOTS of room for improvement in timing. Typically cars are tuned rich from the factory so im wondering how far he can change timing and what safe afrs are for his car. I know 14 is ideal, but hes already pretty close to that so i wonder how much further his engine can lean out.
Oh and its never too late to get an evo
