WISH ME LUCK: Racing a Stage 2 SRT-4 soon!
Yep... in the coming week (Weather Allowing), I will be racing a Stage 2 SRT-4. He says he's got stage 2 w/o toys, 420A cams (he claims to be the best mod yet), fadinza cam gears, board throttlebody, 3" turbo back, map clamp, AEM ugeo, and "a few other things". I figure he will own me due to Weight & a slight amount of extra power. I'll try and talk him into racing me again once I get my cams and all in too! WISH ME LUCK!!! I will get it on film and edit this post and stick it on here for all to see! Lets go COBALT!

dodge doesnt even recommened u put the stage 3 srt4 on the street, beings i believe it is a complete new turbo..... so i would imagine that was a pretty sweet ride. my buddy has an 04 srt4 with stage 1 and some other stuff... turbo controller, etc i think... and drag radials.... at the track with the drags on he pulled like a 12.8 or 12.4... dont remember which one....

Just playing. It all depends on how well he drives, and what kind of power those Cams add. On SRT-4mation, I haven't seen that many (If any) SRT's pass 13.0 in the quarter WITHOUT Slicks. And they are usually trapping around 105-108... so I think I have a SLIM chance! I've beat and ran even with cars running better! Haha, I try and keep a positive attitude! Hopefully, he'll bring a fat friend! That'll weigh him down!!!

LOL..Well, keep us posted for sure. Good luck, and it is nice to see friendly matchups like this. I wouldn't think you would lose by all that much after you cams, pistons, tune and all are done. Maybe a little closer then thought. Theres some positivity for ya. lol
Damn, that's some crazy stuff..Aftere seeing that their shift points are at like 6250 stock, I can see why our Stg kits start creepin back up on them. Their stage 3 I believe took it up to about 6450 or so, which still gives us a little more play with our redline.

Are you running him at the track? When I had my SS/SC and I used to go with a bunch of my SRT-4 friends from another forum there were quite a few who had extensive mod lists that were running mid-high 13's. Most just weren't experienced at the track. I think out of 8 or 9 SRT-4's only one ran a 12.8 with slicks on a fully bolt-on, HOM, stage 2.
Of course, that isn't saying the mod list for the SRT-4 you are racing isn't good for 12's. It just depends on if he can drive it there.

this is what my friend ran with his 04 srt4
"12.8@107Drag radials 18 pounds intake and dump" his words..... his clutch died that night too. I think he has the slip... but im not going to ask him to dig it all up.

well they put singal on these cars cause first they loose power with the dual cause it has to go through more curves in the pipes since its not true duals and they dont make anything bigger than 2.5 in the dual unless it is coustom.

You do... yeah... the little "toys" that you can play with... changing the boost... High Octane mode (<-- the KILLER!!!)... something else. A lot of owners refuse to use them... say they are worthless/for pussies.
What's funny about Mopar.com... is that they still say Stage 3 is COMING SOON!

When I had just a stage 2 no exhaust no nothing I was running 13.7's@105 all day long on street tires. With his mods he should be low 13's for sure, but race him and find out, post the results

thats a 12sec. on street tires just so you know.... GOODLUCK your goin to need all the help you can get. With those mods id be willing to be he can drive it and will definatly "hand you your ass".......

He's knows his Shyt... so he can probably drive too (Not that it'll matter... it'll probably be a Roll Race. I'll try and film both though!)

I agree that I will lose... but you guys... it will not be an ASS HANDING! Ass Handing is 5+ cars in a matter of seconds. I'm a 13.5 @ 106 kind of guy. He's low 13's on Street tires... and in this race he'll be running SNOW TIRES! I will lose.. but not by THAT much!
