Just the person I was waiting on input from... and SRT owner! I'm curious as to what kind of power those Cams add... he says they are his best mod ever. Mostly because they help out a lot on the top end (Where SRT's lack, from what he tells me). Any input there? They are the cams out of "The 2.0" (Regular neon I suppose)... he says you have to use the Cam gears that he has, to get any power though.
The cams will make a difference but not as big as he's making it sound, it's more in the 10-15whp range if tuned on the stock turbo. The top end on the SRT's from the factory is pretty damn strong, most can pick up 20-22MPH in the top end of the track stock. I know I was trapping 80MPH in the 1/8th and would usually run the 1/4mile traps through at 101MPH.
Like I said before race him and find out, I personally think you have a very good chance you seem to have a quick car, and if he's really running winter tires then I would say you win no contest.

SRT4s can be monsterous. we all know it. but dont put them up on such a pedestal.
until they have stage 3 , a modded cobalt is still a good race.
go have fun.

With what mods? Most kids' SRT's are so beat up they dyno worse with mods than they did stock.
But for reference another friends S2 SRT, with exhaust, dynoed at 262whp @ 18 psi. That same car ran 13.2 W/DR's at a high elevation drag strip. But as I have always said dyno numbers dont mean **** to me. Time slips do.
