I can't get a good race w/ a GT for anything, haha.. went 120 yesterday just to catch up with a mustang that had his cruise on like 90 undoubtely, got beside him and paced him a little bit, and he had 5% tint so i couldnt see him haha but igave him the whole two finger " let's go" kinda wave, and he never punched it or anything, so i just followed him all the way to his exit at 90... so we didnt get to race, but at least there were two nice black cars crusiing together haha.

Here's an idea... If you want to race a Mustang, go to a race track

Props to the Mustang guy for not starting a race at 90mph on public streets.

ugh i hate mustang v6 owners. they think theyre so bomb. my 2.2 has beaten tons of mustang v6.

Like we've said, the cocky guys are usually the ones who have no idea what they're talking about and have maybe a couple crappy mods, and that's it.

Stock vs. stock, my '00 5-speed V6 was faster than virtually any 2.2, but I'm not going to act like I'm all cool and whatever... It was still a 15-second car

when i was selling chevys i had the unfortunate oppritunity to drive quite a few 2.2L cobalts. you guys are not faster than a V6 anything thats been made since 1990. truth hurts, i know.. but give it up with all your goofy, imbelished, or fabricated kill stories.

Well, the 94-98 V6 Mustangs were pretty slow, and I even think a 5-speed 2.2 could feasibly beat an auto 99-04 V6 Mustang. All else being equal, though, the 5-speed 99-04 V6 Mustangs and the '05+ V6 Mustangs are faster than 2.2's.

13's are fast for the average joe... v6 stangs run 15s.. Cobalt ss/sc = faster than stock v6 stang, it's fact.

13s are semi-fast for the average Joe non-racer but not someone who races on the street or at the strip. He’s not saying that V6 don’t run 15s he’s saying its funny listening to guys with 13-14sec cars talking like they are big ****. Bragging about beating and talking down stock V6s, GTs, ect. isn’t really anything to bost about.

i know that. I just think its funny how there is probably more **** talking on this forum than any other i am a member of...other than maybe the rsx forums, but still there are only a small handful of you running 12's, and realistically there are WAY more fast v6 mustangs with less money in them than there are cobalt anythings. Hell mine is a good run for a stock ss/sc and i consider it **** slow, that doesn't mean im gonna **** talk cobalts. i literally think it's comical how many times i hear "v6 mustangs are slow as **** modded or stock blah blah blah" or even "mustangs are slow as **** blah blah blah" and then there are the very select few that will even say ls_ cars are not fast. Its just hillarious to me.

im with ya on this one buddy, all the time people on this site claim their cobalt is gods gift to earth, hate to break the bubble but its a fwd econobox with some *****..it doesnt have nearly the potental (SP) that a v8 mustang and even a v6 mustang would have...

im talking in terms of 1/4 mile..handeling its a different story
