I saw one at the local track running high 13's bone stock ! And the track prep sucked hard that day. Im just guessing. But im thinking those cars are good for mid 13's stock.

alot of factors here though. is your buddies car an auto? even if it isn't it's a solid 200 lbs heavier than this car. If it is it's putting down less power stock, and it's heavier, plus this car is modded. i'd say it will be close but this race should go to the mustang. close enough for driver ability to change the outcome though. Just race him.

at the worst...they've gone 13.2 @105 stock. (coupe/manual) most drivers will hit a best of 13.5ish stock and average 13.6/13.7's though.

I'd like to see a stock mach 1 and a stock 07 gt go at it...

Mach 1's are 4v's right?

yea. its close. The mach 1 pulls out ahead most of the time (it should) and if its equal driving will pull a few cars, but its no slaughter. Bolt ons even it up more too. The 3v's can be pretty nasty for a bolt on car, as far as mustangs go.

Yeah If I was in the market for a mustang, I would def go with either an 04 cobra or mach 1. Those engines seemed flaweless, with potential power.

Race him... It'll be close... but you should pull off a win, depending on how long the race lasts. I raced one once. 40 roll... second gear he pulled a little on me... but as soon as I slammed third, I really just ripped away... 3, maybe 4 cars.

did you guys ever think that it might be his first track run? i'm sure most of you guys pulled a 15 (or worse) in your stock ss on your first run...

i ran a 14.9 my first run then ran 2 back to back 15s. it happens especially when your nervous.
hell i even pulled a 18 (just coasted when i couldnt hook up in 2nd) right after my 13.6@105 run.

My first run EVER down the track is coincidentally my 2nd best run EVER. It was my BEST run for the longest time. For some reason, every time I go to the track, my first run of the night is USUALLY my best run of the night. It sucks. After the first run these days, I usually feel as though I should just pack it up and go home! haha.

But yeah, it could have been his first time. Hell, some people just SUCK at the track... like me. But I'm an ACE on the Street...

That's what me figures. The one time that my first run WASN'T my fastest run... was because we started running at 5pm... then the sun went down... and I got my fastest run. Beat a early 90's Corvette actually! Cocky ***** didn't see it coming! "This is a Vette man! You ain't got ****!" Actually, I gotz your $20 now, BEOTCH!
