04 from a dig will whip your ass if he knows how to drive and you know how to drive.
from 40 stock you should take it
04 from a dig and he is just a casual driver probably half a car length ? Depends if you go the full 1/4 in a street race which never happens.
also you arent stock..
pet peeve of mine i am stock except
the except says you are not stock

BTW, might be easier to read posts with punctuation
I think you'll take him. When I was stock I stomped an '03 GT. Started with 50mph roll. Hes wanted me to run his buddies' crx si and an accord "si" with an "h23". I got them on the on-ramp to the highway.
Cliff note: You should be fine from a roll. Decent chance from a dig

you guys are crazy. a GT isn't a dog. stock for stock(with intake) you should have a good chance from a dig and you will probably walk it from a roll.
you won't kill a GT that bad no matter what.

If mustang gt's (new edge) aren't **** then what does that make our cars since they run similar times stock? Well in fact they are consistantly faster stock in the 1/4 since they are way easier to launch. Sometimes the balt people (not everyone of course) make me ever wonder why I bought this car.

My friends are in a local mustang car club. All GT's or better. Most are 02's. I can beat all of them except one--from dig/and roll. and the only one that can beat me has some good mods on it and only beat me by half a car(my front was @ his door). So I would say n/p from my expierence.. But then again.....I'm hearing alot of ppl say that it would be an iffy race. So imo.. u have it.. but based on others input....not so sure.

Ok a 02-03 mustang GT will do 0-60 in 5.3-5.6 or so, with quarter mile of 14.1.... A cobalt S/C should do 0-60 in 6.1 with a quartermile of 14.1 given both cars are a good driver. From a dig I doubt ud have a chance, however from a roll yea any force induction car would have a better chance given they run about the same quarter mile times.
I mean look at it this way, a GT will own the low end but has a weaker top end. A Cobalt will have a weaker low end but amazing top end.
