The difference in the tune for a TC (G35 & G37S)
G35 (me with no Tune)
Well some of you probably read my thread about the G35 I chased when I wasnt tuned.
IT turned out that he kept a car ahead on my before the next light came up (light to light chase). he took off way before I did. I didnt realize we were racing but whatever..

G37S (me with toon)
So last night, me and the lady were going to eat. a baby/royale blue Infiniti G37S coupe came up. light to light. he took off. I didnt even bother.
But once I made a right turn, he chased me. he pulled up to me and started revving. Im tooned now. soooooo from a 35 Roll we took off. I jumped instantly on him. I got such a jump, I was able to get in front of him to change lanes bc of a slow car. Held a 2-3 car length until we Cut if off at about 100(it was a 35MPH speed zone).

So the Tune is a major difference.

I think it is 327 engine Hp but they weigh 3700+ lbs so they are heavy and IIRC they make about 275 whp so even a stock TC Cobalt should be a pretty good match for one from a roll.

i wasnt sure about the S series thought thats why I asked.
the new G35 Sedan is 327.
the G37 is like 337 or something like that.
and I said that i was chasing one in my last story that was def not a stock G35
And yes I was speeding. but carefully..

It is curb weight and lack of torque that kills those cars. The G35 tested a couple tenths of a second faster than the G37 in Qm in one of the magazines. They are deadly turboed though.

what if that slow car switched lanes and you hit them.
regardless, like everyone has said..i ahve done dumb **** to.."those who have not sinned cast the first stone"
g35's are slow.i beat one in my LE5
g37's however i hear are pretty damn quick..so good show.

I almost bought an 07 G35 6spd, but FACK, 37 grand......
I saved me 14 grand, and still got a great handling 13 second car, ipod integration, nice stereo, hands free, excellent mpg, and can the ss can handle my 20 mile commute in the winter.
what i missed out on. Powerslides, sick exhaust note, in dash nav, heated leather, rattle free interior, and OEM HID projectors.
9300 miles in and i still think i made the right choice.
If i play my cards right, Id like to make room for a 370Z with the SS as the daily driver

nice kill broski...the G37's do pack a punch for what they are and how much they weigh...
