Dodge Caravan Turbo VS. Cobalt SS Supercharged

Not really a race mind you, this is a Friend of mine's Caravan in Calgary... Not my Cobalt though.

If that guy's best run is 15.08 @ 95 when boosting 20psi, there's no way he beat an ss/sc at only 13psi, but that's just my opinion...

But like you said, it's not really a race.

My best run at the Track has been 15.14@96 mph, with a 2.3 60ft time... He has that beat, at about 3000 ft above sea level.

Those Caravan turbo's are no joke, saw one almost take down an S2000, Funny thing was it still had the woodgrain on the side, all of it's seats in it, and two 12"'s in the back.

If you didn't know already, Caravans in those days had a factory option for a 2.5L Turbo Engine.

That's the Allure of it all, if you don't understand what it's like to have a sleeper then you haven't lived yet, my good sir, that would make you the fool now wouldn't it?

www.turbododge.com go look at a few Omni GLH and GLHS's and you'll get the picture.

Right, but if you read his post, he said he was only boosting 13 psi at the time. I'm sure on his track days he's boosting the full 20. If he did 15.08 at 20 psi, then at 13 he's nowhere near it. I'm not doubting his potential, but I'm sure as hell doubting that particular story.

For sure, but I think there are few things in life that are more humiliating than getting ripped by a Minivan.

Also you could put a bed in the back too, or seat Seven, pull your Cobalt if it ever breaks down.

Carrol Shelby had a hand in those Omni's, someone asked him what GLH stands for, he said "Goes Like Hell", when asked about the GLHS "Goes Like Hell Somemore".

It's the infamous Van

Yah It's me the guy who beat the SS I Don't know if it was a Supercharged car for certain but it did pull me hard the first 20ft so I belive it was and as far as driving it as my only vehicle NO it is not. My reliable vehicle is An S series Jimmy but as far as sleepers go I have yet to have one that is so fun. and the cops Don't even glance at me when I go by .
The very best part is I only have $800 hundred Dollars in the whole van. As far as Honda S2000 go I'm sure any one of you guys could kick thier but one was at the track the other day when I went his best time was a 16.6
