Finally some action!!
I normally can't get people to race me for weeks at a time. I guess everyone around here has the bug or something. I'm on the interstate, I actually had just left Arby's,lol. I see a 05+ mustang gt in my mirror so I drop down to 55mph waiting on him to catch up. He does, and I see his girlfried/wife in the passenger seat smiling away. Somehow we got back up to around 65mph so I put it in third, I wait to hear his (aftermarket) exhaust first, we take off, immediately I'm pulling pretty hard and really hard when I go into fourth, I let off at 115mph-120mph due to traffic, I lead about 6-7 cars ahead. I started to get off my exit (long exit ramp) he pulls beside honks with a thumbs up, I wave, the end.

I am sorry but all these people with "tuned" tc's think that the tune unlocks some HUGE beast in the car.
If it had some bolts ons, i could see 6-7 cars. GT's trap 103ish plus the guy had atleast exhaust probably intake and possibly a tune. An LNF stock trap 101-104 tuned 105-106ish??
I mean you can def beat a GT but 6-7 cars is a good chunk to win by. I would bet he shut down early.
is is a stick or an auto?
cuz I can keep up with/beat depending on the speeds an LS1 but its an auto with 2.73 gears.
That really can play a role.

I'm not saying he shouldn't win. He should but 6-7 cars is on the verge of bus lengths which just isn't reasonable.

^^To each his own I guess. For the doubter, go rent a mustang gt and stop by my house, that's about the only thing I can think of. I wouldn't come on here and make up stories to make myself feel better, if I did, I think I would of used a different car other than a mustang gt. Oh and 50-60 whp def. does unlock the BEAST! lol

Nice kill, man. 6-7 cars is a lot so it's possible he just didn't downshift enough. People don't realize how much of a difference a driver can make. Even dropping down one gear too few can make a few cars difference on two otherwise equal cars.

I don't think you understand what I am trying to say.
All I am pointing out is that TYPICALLY if you raced a GT with just a tune you should not pull 6-7 cars, maybe your exaggerating, maybe he let off early, maybe he didn't down shift properly. But a newer GT with intake and exhaust can trap up to 108 with a tune slightly more. If he just had exhaust take a couple off that. But 6-7 cars is A LOT for only a couple mph difference in the 1/4.
It's a great kill but if I were you I wouldn't expect to beat GT's with exhaust by that much every time.

Spectral, I understand what you're saying. I def. don't think if I race every gt mustang with exhaust I'll beat it that bad. He downshifted properly though, well, based on how loud his exhaust got it seemed that he did, but thats just a guess. I personally like the newer gt mustangs, maybe this one was having a bad day. Even if I had won by just a foot it would have been sweet cause he had his girl w/him. I've lost in other cars with my wife with me and she laughs her ass off at me!

I beat my buddys 07 GT when I was stock. I am tuned, and bolted, and murder him now. 6-7 cars is possible given enough speed. The naysayer owns a SS/SC anyways. (He drives gods gift to all that is fast.)

GT's are not that fast. 6-7 cars is bus lengths and a tuned LNF get low 13's which is the same I have seen GT's with minimal mods done. However LNF's DO trap higher but not high enough to get a 6-7 car gap between them from a roll.
