Uh a roll would be our strongest ally given our shitty launches so why doesnt that make sense? It just seems to me we have alot of advantages from a roll already, no-lift shift pretty much makes turbo lag nill, given another 50-60 hp in a sub 3k pound car is a pretty decent gain. Im not saying your gonna pull 6-7 cars, but given the situation that certainly doesnt mean you wouldnt be able to either.

For one I drive an Ion. Smart ass. For 2 my car is not fast. The people I hang out with DO drive fast cars there isn't a cobalt out there that could run with a good portion of them.
GT's are not that fast. 6-7 cars is bus lengths and a tuned LNF get low 13's which is the same I have seen GT's with minimal mods done. However LNF's DO trap higher but not high enough to get a 6-7 car gap between them from a roll.

Stock, it takes a bit to start pulling on a GT, but it does happen. I know because my most competitive friend drives a 2007 GT. (He also get beat by my buddies stock LS2 GTO AUTO.)
Which I also outrun. Just because a few cars do best condition runs, does not mean they can do it anywhere.
And the Ion RL is the same thing as an SS/SC, thats like Micheal Jackson being offended on being called white.
