Full exhaust!!?? That cannot be right at all. I have yet to hear a exhaust system sound anywhere near as quite as that on a ls1 camaro. Can you find out which headers and cat-back he is running? I'm curious cause I would love to have mine be that quite for a sleeper type setup.

It was what me and my friend guessed he had. It was a random guy that pulled up to me haha.. We don't even know him.

Ahhh thats cool. That was stock exhaust for sure. There is no telling what was done though, most likely a lid for sure. Those were some good runs though even if he was stock down to the paper filter.

I went to the Vallejo / Mare Island meet. Let's meet up sometime bro! I'm always down. Cobalts aren't too common to run in to... Especially not a fellow whiner

Thanks man. I knew I would lose but I'd say I gave him a good run for his money. They're fast stock.

Hell yeah! Not to mention an SS Camaro when new was a 30,000+ car and you only had to pay what? probably like 25,000-26,000 with mods at most so I would say thats not bad at all.

I couldn't beat the deal I got.. $19K brand new out the door. Total of around $2K-$2.5K put into it (Including performance and visual). I love it haha.

You have a pretty good shot at winning. Do it from 45. If you time it right, you'll get a 1/2 head start while his trans shifts gears.

And you better hope he doesn't have a tune.

You will have no problem with one unless they go turbo or nitrous. I raced a heavily modded stock blower (pulley) one when I was bone stock and put about 2 cars on him from 40-100 and I am only a little faster then a M6 LS1 stock for stock (I put a car and a half on a exhaust Formula LS1 M6 from 70-130). PS, I want a piece of a SS/TC with a tune, those things supposedly run almost 13 flat on street tires. Would love to catch one on a highway.....

game ******* over = destroyed stock 10-bolt. definitely upgrade the rear-end before you tear into the motor. or make friends with someone with a trailer.

After owning 20 plus F-Bodies I will say the 10 bolt could be better but they will take much more than people think it is all how you treat the car it's under that matters. An automatic LS1 with mods will be much more 10 bolt friendly than the same mods on a M6 car.

It is more so massive shock load that kills them than horsepower.

He CANNOT legally VOID your warranty. Plain and Simple.

Take this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson-Moss_Warranty_Act

...and shove it up his ass next time he tells you that.

That's been posted half a million time all across this site.

Change your cat and they can void your emmisions warranty no problem.

If the camaro traps 109 on DR's, I don't think you stand a chance from a roll or dig.
