G35.... i am teh loss
I raced a G35 tonight. I was on my way home and he flew by me, so i caught up, went from about 55-60. No honks, i got in gear, and then he took off first & then i went. he was about a car ahead of me when i actually went WOT. we were even (him 1 car ahead) all the way to the top of third, he didn't pull on me, and i realed him in about a bumper's length & we shut down at about 110-115mph (top of third gear). He was coming up on a car in his lane, and instead of slowing down, he decided to use the middle lane to illegally pass it 
. I didn't think much of it, but my buddy was like, "what an ass hole!"
I suppose, since he got the jump on me before i hit the gas that i lost.
It was very even though the entire time. I thought it would be an easy kill for me, so props to the G35 for making me learn something new today 
It had exhaust, but other than that i don't know what was done & my mods are in my sig. we both had 1 passenger, my windows were down and his were up.
. I didn't think much of it, but my buddy was like, "what an ass hole!" I suppose, since he got the jump on me before i hit the gas that i lost.

yeah, i couldn't afford it, so i had to get the SS/SC.

u lost to a g35 with those mods?somethings wrong with ur car...i have fun with them on highway with my STOCK mod

Its about right for a G35 to hang with you. I dont care what these guys on this forum say. its just like every other forum in the world where everyone thinks their car is capable of beating a much nicer car. A G35 or even a 07 350Z will hang with a stage 2 SS/SC. And all these guys spewing bullshit about raping 350z's in a stock ss/sc can shove a baseball bat up their ass because they are full of **** and need somethign to plug the hole before they start spewing more.

I've seen stock 6spd G35 coupe's pulling 100-101 in the quarter mile. Most of the stories on here are of beating G35's with auto's and bad drivers. With good drivers they are fast.

it was a manual tranny. he dropped gear before he went WOT, just like me; he just went WOT first. If we both hit at the exact same time, i would have pulled on him by a bumper... but i'm not one to make excuses, that's why i admit that my error in judgment of when to floor it, or my choice not to honk off made me lose the race.
my car has nothing wrong with it except that it's not finished being tuned. right now it's just tuned for no knock. once we mess with it a little more, we can add some timing, etc. my car will be a bit faster.

I don't see why people race with their windows down all the time?
Doing anything with the windows down besides sitting still creates quite a bit of drag

) but a 2.80 pullied ss will crush a stock g35 from a roll. he must have had more than an exhaust. maybe intake and full exhaust..?

yeah, he was probably catless and ****, but i dont know... i didn't talk to the guy afterwards, he just flew by that car, and kept driving fast. most of the time i drive with my windows down because my car runs like ass with the A/C on. i just didn't think to roll them up for the race. it's probably why my car didn't feel that fast when i racing. plus the extra 200lbs from my buddy in the car...
