g6 gxp kill
my buddy followed me home today in his g6 gxp, so when all was clear i let him come up beside me and we went. those things are not to bad, i pulled ahead of him slowly till he governed and i was gone. second we went from a dig and i pulled ahead pretty much right away and got about car and a half ahead before i had to slow down for my turn off. was fun, he said he hit rev limiter.
Learned if either of us makes a shifting mistake the other will probably win. only 10hp difference. good race.

Nice runs, but what kind of car do you have and mods??? Had one in the middle lane with my Wife and I on each side of it in seperate cars, needless to say it couldnt keep up, LOL.

That doesn't make sense, you should kill him. His car is bigger, heavier, naturally aspirated, and less HP/TQ. I think they are automatic too, not sure how many speeds. My mom has a G6 GT and it is a 4 speed auto.

his is 6speed auto, and its only got 10hp and 9tq less than i do. he weighs 600pounds more though. this is a gxp 3.6 6speed, big hp diff from the gt. if we went would go longer cause it was a short race, i would have killed him. but for the fist 1/4 mile he keeps up pretty good.

iv driven a ss/sc, and i know his gxp would kill that thing stock. but i think there was something wrong with that sc.
if it makes u feel better i will fill up with 94 octane and race him again. im sure ill murder him cause it pulls better than with 91.

i dont know man diff car diff driver, im sure my buddy was using manual shift which does better than with letting the car do it. whatever i dont care, i beat him thats all that matters. and im sure i didnt do the best shifting either, so there could be a reason it was close to. And the second time i did pretty much kill him, i passed him and pulled into his lane and then slowed down, if i would have kept going i would have been gone.

I did not know the G6 GXPs are that quick. I thought they were all show and no go. Every feature on the car is exaggerated almost to the point of a joke, reminded me of the plastic clad Grand AM's back in the day.

and ya they are easy to beat, especially since they are goverened at 115mph but i still show it respect. thats a good motor. especially the direct injected ones on the cts with 306hp.
what the hell were they thinking??

Not with a stock TC but a tuned one will definately beat an SRT8 Charger from a roll and the G8 GXP is about the same quickness.

man u guys just dont know how to read do u. read!!!! i never said i dont pull on him i said they are fast. and i doubt that if ur stock, his 0to60 time is the same as urs.

hey someone who knows what he is talking about, about time. i know they do and ya the weight is the deciding factor there, ss/tc pulls past em nicely, nothing to brag about fast, but ya, it would depend on the driver i guess, crappy driver = murder, good driver not as much.

For one you gotta buy one first, have an assload of money to cover the dealer markup on the GXP. Then have the cash left over to be able to afford a tune.
And if you drop 4K in to an SS/TC it will stomp all over a G8 GXP with a tune. So 20K + 4K in upgrades, vs $40,000+ (Should have gotten a vette range)and then a tune. Also if the tuned G8 gets beat, not only is the drivers feelings hurt, hes also broke....
