Gto. Firebird, Whatever V8!?!?
i live in bismarck, we aint got too much, but the guys that do play got alot!!
1. I have had my ass handed to me by a Rearmounted Turbo 2001 Firebird off the line...once we get rollin' it's not quite so much much, but still equalling as stupid as even to try!

2. Regular 2002 Camaro with TB, INTAKE, HEADERS 'n EXHAUST....close at the line, but he got me off the start, i was catchin up tho...took a 25mph roll and i had him no prob!

3. 2004 GTO Auto(Stock)...from a start she got me off the line, but i caught up to her by 80.....rolled at 30 and i kept on flyin, no way that GTO was catchin up!!!

4. 2006 GTO Stick, K&N...got me off the line and kep sailin', form a roll of 30mph we were keeping pretty much dead even till i clicked 3rd gear, i fell a bit and stayed rite there!

5. 2006 Corvette Auto, K&N....from a start he showed his woman what was goin on in that ride, makin me lookin like the stupid lil punk i basically bein!! he slowed down to 30mph on the interstate and both just lit em up and was kinda proud that i was keepin close...but fell behind about 2 car lengths by the time we shut 'em down at 115mph
I gots the mods listed below, those are my stories with GM V8's, makes most people look at ya when your flyin by, thats for sure! Just need sum exhaust to open up all that airflow 'n maybe i be takin sum more GTO's out! Any early 90's n older have to have alot **** done to them to be a decent match for Cobalt Stage II! When i can aford one, i'
ll probably take an LS2 GTO, slap a charger on that, n play round a bit, til then...cheers to the LSJ's!

hmmm....so you stayed only 2 lengths behind an ls2 vette from 30-115...ok hahahah. I find it funny that these balts and ions that should be trapping no higher than 108-109 are running with cars that trap 112-114 now. Next it will be a c6 z06 with bolt ons! that vette should have walked away from you like it was nothing. im talkin 10 + cars.

im giving him the benefit of the doubt because i know he is going to raise it no matter what i say so i went OVER what he could say. 108 in mineshaft air with god giving a little push from behind. What im saying is even if he was trapping 108 (the highest he could even possibly consider claiming EVVVERRRR) that c6 is at least gonna trap 3-4mph faster than him...now go with two average drivers and ur gonna have like a 7-8 difference which is big...real big.

does regular 2002 camaro mean v6, because my brothers 01 transam with only intake, headers, cutout went like a 12.5, i dont think a stg 2 with 2.9 would even be close to that..... ever....

LS1 GTO up to stage 3 as well...look at it this way...the GTO from a dig is gunna hole shot the **** out of you...and if it's an M6...say good night from a roll too...

regaurdless of the 50 shot or not...you have to figure, a GTO is a better geared vehicle than a LSJ....and have a higher tq....so even with the 50 shot it might be neck and neck...the only way the LSJ will win is if it's a roll race and it's an A4 GTO....

and where are you getting your numbers from??? LS1's have dyno'd between 305 all the way to 330 bone stock....and as for tq 320 seems to be the right number...

yeah less drivetrain loss, the ls2 gto's seem to do rather well though.
The manual would not have done much better to be completely honest, i have beat stock f bodies and i think we both know there a little faster than stock gto's.

Have you raced stock M6 F-Bodies??? And I highly doubt you'd beat one with a good driver...LS1 F-Bodies run low 13's bone stock on the East Coast....if they run any higher than a 13.6 it's driver error....and this is how I have proof...on LS1tech their is a guy in an M6 SS Camaro (essantailly the same power as a Z28) is going 12.6 on M/T DR's....and a Bone stock A4 SS Camaro is going 12.9...he is actually a friend of mine...and he has been beaten by LSJ's from a roll...but from a dead stock it's driver error....

yeah i saw those vids, i keep a close eye on that site. I have beaten a stock one pretty good to the point were i let off becuase i didn't know if he was racing anymore. I also beat a full bolton gear'd 99 6 speed from 40-100 by a half car but he did give me the hit the three times and he would follow as soon as i hit it. He was pulling back up on methough and if we would have went past 100 he would have started to put lengths on me. I also raced my buddies h/c/i/ full bolton geared 6 speed formy and from 40-100 he had about a car on me ( this is on video to) his car was acting kinda funny that night though.
I have plenty of experience with f bodies, then and agian im not your typical cobalt either
