Actually they can go that high. I ran a tt 350z with my Z06 up to that speed.

Thats wierd because I thought my SS/SC was pretty stable at 140-150mph. It wasn't as much of a road hugger as the SLP/Bilstein equipped Camaro SS I had at the same time but I didn't think it was unstable.

well, our definitions of unstable may be different. ive been in a c6 zo6 going 160 plus and it felt like we were only doing 100 mph

I have done 180+ in my C6, 160mph GTO and went all out (160+) in the 2002 Sandhills classic in my 2000 Camaro SS. I am pretty familiar with what feels stable and what doesn't.

But there are many variables that affect how the same car will feel at high speeds be it tires, tire pressures, road surface and driver abilities.

If you want to be original pick up a Harrop TVS series Eaton S/C and throw it on.

Cobalts do not weigh 3100lbs unless a very large person is riding in one.

What are you running a custom grind, quit trying to side step the truth.

Seriously what the hell do you think isn't cookie cutter about most modded GTO's? Most run Pedders crap not because it's the best but because there are no other companies that make everything needed. After that it's either this S/C or that turbo system and so on thus making most modded GTO's very similar.

Get over it.

Ok so say he maintained a near stock weight then knock off the 100 or so pounds then, it still doesn't make sense.

Well in that case ALL cars are cookie cutter cars I guess. Only so much stuff exists before you HAVE to start running the same parts as the guy down the street. Think about it.

You know what I mean when I specify GTO's especially once you take the engine and transmission out of the equasion.

He knows the main reason I called his car a cookie cutter modded GTO is due to his pedders stuff since 90% of other GTO's do the same thing. It also sucks that most of the parts available are made by the same place just painted differently.

All in all this comment was made to chill out some of the GTO owners that think there is nothing better.

WTF is NOT cookie cutter in the LSx scene.... people dont go down to their basement and grind a cam from a solid block.... If its not a comp cam, its a lunati or crane, if its not a Eaton blower its a procharger...

So somebody that actually MOD's their car is being a "cookie cutter"....

Well then damnit I love cookies.

And actually some of the parts I am using I have not seen on many goats...
