Well then damnit I love cookies.

And actually some of the parts I am using I have not seen on many goats...

When I made the comment it was GTO based not LS2 specific you know exactly what I am getting at and choose to be smart about it, oh well.

Thepint I was getting at in saying it in the first place is that no one GTO here is that much different than anyone elses modded or stock. Thus why should anyone prance around here like there GTO is all that much less better than anyone elses?

Get it, good.

I assume you mean "the ring" as in the German short test track?

If so I don't think GM would embarass themselves by running the GTO but I am sure a few euro/aus versions like the Monaro or Vauxhall have seen the ring.

So whats so cookie cutter? because I bought pedders parts to replace the "garbage" parts you bitch about? Wow... what else did I have? 2 other options?

Not too many cobalts are that much different the the others here...

Not too many corvettes are that much different then the others on CF...

What is your point?

He knows the main reason I called his car a cookie cutter modded GTO is due to his pedders stuff since 90% of other GTO's do the same thing. It also sucks that most of the parts available are made by the same place just painted differently.

All in all this comment was made to chill out some of the GTO owners that think there is nothing better.
LOL At the Corvette owner talking about GTOs being a "cookie cutter" car.

I'd would bet that there are a higher percentage of modded 04-06 GTOs driving around than there are modded C5's and C6's.

Cookie cutter corvettes are ones with 3000 miles that never leave the garage and will never see a performance mod in their life.

Cookie cutter GTO's are modded and get the ***** beat out of them....

Glad to have a Cookie cutter GTO.

I used to like gto's.
Then I read all these threads about them.
The car is Ok, but the "my gto can beat your xxxxxx"..it has gotten old.

Neither of you get it do you?

It isn't about more modded GTO's vs amount of modded Corvettes but that the GTO's aftermarket is **** beyond the engine and transmission. Most of the parts available are made by one company and dressed up to fit another vendors needs be it Pedders, JHP and so on.

My whole point was that no specific GTO has the ultimate combo making it better than another. One member here with a GTO made it sound like his suspension mods were some how the great equalizer and they were not. They were the same things used by everyone else.

lol, okay. Keep thinking what you want.

Let's take a look at the different companies that supply suspension components for the GTO (besides Pedders)

Ligenfelter
BMR Fabrication
Koni
Eibach
Hotchkis
Tein

Wow, I did a 30 second search and I came up with 6 different manufacturers.

Wait, no, they must be lying, because master GTO said so.

He said his suspension mods are the great equalizer in your whine fest about the stock suspension... not against every other goat in the world.

Ever think perhaps 39,000 cars over 3 years is the reason the aftermarket is ****?

Maybe you should go get your self a new leather corvette bomber jacket, get a Corvette watch, get some of the tacky appearence **** the vette aftermarket is flooded with and take a sunday cruise in your stock car.

But then again my stock C6 isn't a tank so I run low 12's bone stock and you didn't therefore you need mods to even keep up.

And ask the people here that know me like Anti Venom and KlugSRT-4 they will tell you my C6 is no garage queen. It never sees snow or rain but then again none of my nice cars have even my SS/SC.

Just deal with the fact that I had a GTO disliked it and moved up to a much better car.

Then he can meet up with some 50 year old men who also own corvettes and talk about the weather and retirement

Or he can pick up some middle-aged women.

Guess what most of the springs made for the GTO are mfg. by King Springs and painted to a vendors needs. Now go make a list of shocks and struts because most of those are made by one manufacturer also.

I didn't buy a $30,000 GTO to not research the aftermarket well before trading it off due to being a lost cause.

ORLY? So the Corvette isn't the same way?

The only thing your "Godly" Corvette has over the GTO is the absence of 700 or so pounds of weight, which includes the absence of a backseat to cart more ****** around.

If I didn't want a backseat, I would have gotten a roadster and not a GTO.

Whats funny is that Corvettes arew owned by two different groups.

1) Old people who can afford them so buy one as a status symbol.

and

2) People that want GM's best and currently only true sports car offering.

I am part of group #2 after my SS/SC my share of F-Bodies and a GTO it was the only logical choice. DOn't make fun of old people driving Corvettes just because you cannot afford one.

If you think that is all that seperates C6 from GTO you haven't got a clue.

Obviously the suspension is marginally better, but most of the differences can be attributed to weight.

Using the old school method of calculating 1/4 times, removing 700lbs of dead weight from a GTO would theoretically result in mid 12 second passes.

DEAR GOD, NO WAY
