Be sure to have someone that you both know and trust hold the money for you so that he doesn't bitch out in the end when you stomp him. And trust me, unless he's going to shoot a 100 shot you will stomp him.

I used to have the Elantra 2.0L with that same 4cyl engine as the base tiburons have, with CAI, catback, light flywheel, weight loss........a 2.2L with a nearly broken exhaust and an intake beat it that's when i jumped on the ss/tc and it was a FTW decision!!
even a 2.2L 5spd Cobalt with a CAI would be on the same level as the V6 Tiburon stock

I went to school with a guy who bought a brand new 04 or 05 Tiburon GT and thought it was the ****. He put exhaust, CAI and I think that is it and thought he was Mr. Speed Racer. The funny thing is, his older Brother has a 96 Trans Am with the 5.7 LT1 and a 99 Trans Am with the 5.7 LS1, wonder if he thinks he can beat his Bro's cars, LOL.

Tibby GT? That motor is in my mom's Tucson and I kinda like it. Not great numbers for a 2.7L V6 of course when everyone else's top N/A 4 cyls are very comparable... we know the numbers of the LE5, Honda's 2.4 will make 201/172 in the TSX, I think Toyota's 2.4 (Scions/Camry/Corolla) makes like 160, GM's new DI 2.4 will be good for 210 hp, etc. etc. But I wish will for Hyundai and hopefully they have a winner with the Genesis.

I'd love to call joke topic on this, but then again I once met a driver who swore his SX2.0 Neon had factory twin turbos... 132bhp, baby.

They won't even put a dent into the G8 GXP either ...
They have high hopes of this car making it big but the reality of it is they are a relatively new automaker who hasnt produced one car that broke one world record yet ...
The G8GT is a 30k car while genisis is going to be 40k + and a few more gadgets .. Aftermarket mods for a genesis I doubt will ever be readily available compared to the Standard GM blocks being used in their performance v8's Luxury Sedans are a very hard market to go after because they are expensive and it is mostly appealing to upper class business men who only trust certain brands which gives them a certain status symbol. It would be pretty hard to persuade a CEO to drive a Hyundai !!! Maybe at the end of my lifetime Hyundai will earn a name for itself but in my book they are still at the bottom of my list .. Almost next to KIA !

Only way he beats you is if he has someone with an ungodly fast car towing him there (like his buddy with the Flintstone mobile). ****, could stall your car off the line, start it, stall it again!, start it once again, then go, and you'd still beat him by a longshot. True story, not an exaggeration whatsoever.
