Has any one raced a Cooper S?
Just wanted to know how they stood up. My dream car is a John Cooper Works S, but that will be awhile for that. Thanks.

My dad has a Cooper S and it feels faster than my 2.0 S/C.
Every day I still think about getting a Mini. They really handle like nothing you've ever tasted!

It would be interesting to see them go side by side. The John cooper s(stripped down one with rally stripes) against a SS SC. I still want a cooper myself.
(I have no idea why I was thinking awd)

I was asking how it held up to an ss not all of your opinion on the car. I like the feel of being in a little car that handles great, it might not be the fastest car but its a good all arround package that most hondas couldnt touch. My uncle has a full race mazda miata and evean tho its a cheap car, on track days no porshe can touch him in the corners and when his turbo charged engine is done being built it will haul ass. My point is its not all about "fast".

Dont mean to dredge up the haters out there by saying that the SS isint that fast so dont get your feathers up in a bunch, i love the SS and i wish i would have gotten one or acutally been able to afford one they are a great car and a fast one compared to most other 4cyl cars. OK?

I have a 2.4 and I've beaten the Cooper S before. Not sure the year and it wasn't just a 1/4 mile sprint but in the end I killed him.
Don't get me wrong I have nothing agaisnt them I like em! Little to pricy for me tho. Oh and they handle like a go-kart!

Personally, I LOVE the mini.....they are extremely fun to drive. However I raced a cooper S when I was stock and pulled it very good on the highway. But I love those cars anyways

One was trying to mess with me on the highway when i wasnt giving him my attention. he would drop back behind me and gain speed and try and fly past me. All i had to do was drop it into 4th and i caught him easily enough when i was still stock. They are quick though but i still dont want one when i got my SC.
